    Cherie Rae Tichacek, 51, of Dittmer, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
    She was born April 3, 1952, in Springfield, the daughter of Carl William and Eleanor Elsie DeYoung Haseley. She married Rick J. Tichacek.
    Mrs. Tichacek was a billing clerk at Patient Care Services in Hillsboro, MO. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dittmer.
    Survivors: husband, Rick; two sons, Jason and Eric Tichacek, both of Dittmer; mother, Eleanor Haseley of Springfield; a sister, Barbra K. (husband, David) Speck of Springfield; and a brother, Russell Carl Haseley of Springfield.
    Services: 11 A.M. Saturday, Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel in De Soto, MO., the Rev. Ron Barton officiating. Burial: Bethlehem Memorial Gardens in Dittmer, MO

    74, of Springfield died Tuesday at St. John's Hospital. He was born April 23, 1924, in Springfield, the son of Charles and Helen Leppin Haseley. He married Eleanor E. DeYoung in Springfield in 1947. Mr. Haseley owned and operated Carl Haseley Repairs before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having earned three Overseas Service Bars, the American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, as well as the Purple Heart Medal. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, VFW Post 755 and a lifetime member of the DAV. Survivors: wife, Eleanor E.; a son, Russell Haseley of Springfield; two daughters, Cherie Tichacek of St. Louis and Barbra Speck of Springfield; seven grandchildren; a sister, Irma Bomke of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 11 A.M. Friday, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Dr. Wayne Hoffman officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery. Bisch and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Springfield, IL - Eleanor E. Haseley, 92, a lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 6:15 pm at her grandson’s home. She was born September 24, 1926 the daughter of Chris and Louise (Hartwig) DeYoung. She married Carl Haseley, Nov. 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death May 26, 1998. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julian Haseley, a daughter Cherie Tichacek and her son, Russell Haseley. Eleanor retired in 1987 from Franklin Life Insurance Co. She was a charter member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She devoted herself to raising her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Barbra (David) Speck of Springfield, her grandchildren: Ryan, Corrina, and Jason Haseley, Michael and Tim Speck, Jason and Eric Tichacek. There are many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral Service: The Haseley family will greet family and friends at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church 2645 Old Jacksonville Rd., Springfield, IL, Friday, May 10, 2019 from 9:30 am until time of services there at 10:30 am. Rev. Joshua T. Traxel will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Parish Nurse Program at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church 2645 Old Jacksonville Rd. Springfield, IL 62704. Arrangements are in the care of Bisch Funeral Home West.
