    candles adorned the altar of
    81 Paul's Evangelical Lutheran
    Church on Saturday, May 11 at
    6:30 pan. when Miss Cora Sahr,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin
    Sahr of Falls boulevard, became
    the bride of Paul O. Mallue, son
    of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Echtenkamf
    of Carmel road, Buffalo. The Rev.
    F. A. Hinners performed the ceremony.
    Mrs Emil Piper, aunt of the
    bridegroom, sang "Because" preceding
    the ceremony, and "O Perfect
    Love". Arnold Nuoffer accompanied
    her and played traditional
    wedding music
    The bride given in marriage by
    her father, wore a lace trimmed
    white faiPe gown, with sweetheart
    neckline, long sleeves and train.
    Her finger-tip veil was caught
    with orange blossoms and she carried
    a colonial bouquet of white
    sweet peas and double arabis with
    aqua and pink sweet peas intermingled.
    Her attendants were her sisters,
    Mrs. Arthur Wood and Mrs. Francis
    Beyetta. Mrs. Wood, as matron
    nf honor, woie a pink marquisette
    gown and headdress of double
    arabis and pink marquisette. Mrs.
    Beyette wore an aqua gown fashioned
    like that of her sisters with
    matching headdress. Both carried
    bouquets of aqua and pink sweet

    peas and double arabis tied with
    ribbons to contrast with their
    gowns.
    Henry Mallue, brother of the
    bridegroom was the best wan,
    El sworth Werner, his brother-inlaw,
    was groomsman and the ushers
    were his cousins, Daniel and
    Robert Pohlman.
    The bride's mother chose a grey
    crtpe dress with a flowered hat
    arid black accessories. Her corsage
    was of roses and sweet peas. The
    bridegroom's mother selected a
    pink print mesh dress with black
    horse hair hat, trimmed with
    flowers, and black accessories.
    She wore a corsage of roses and
    gardenias.
    A supper for 125 guests was
    served in the parish hall, Later a
    reception for the immediate familias
    was held in the home of Mr.
    and Mrs. Francis Beyette. The
    couple left on a two weeks western
    wedding trip.
    Among those who entertained
    for Mrs. Mallue were, Mrs. Beyette
    and Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Gustav
    Zuch and Mrs. Irvin Zuch, Miss
    Helen Salefske, Miss Mildred Nuoffer,
    Mrs. E. J. Echtenkamp, Mrs.
    Gary Molnioh and Mrs. Ellsworth
    Werner. Girls of the Billing Department
    of the Wurlitzer Company
    entertained at a dinner and
    theater party.

    Home. Buffalo, after a long
    illness.
    A native of North Tonawanda.
    he had been employed at
    the Wurlitzer Co. for more than
    40 years, retiring six years ago.
    He was a member of St. Paul
    Lutheran Church, the Lutheran
    Laymen's League, Rescue Fire
    Company and the Benevolent
    Firemen's Association and was
    a former superintendent of St
    Paul Lutheran School.
    Survivors include his wife.

    Alma (nee Wilke) Sahr: three
    daughters, Mrs. Arthur
    (Bernice) Wood of North
    Tonawanda, Mrs. Francis
    (Marguerite) Beyette of Tonawanda
    and Mrs. Paul (Cora)
    Mallue of Canton, Ohio: nine
    grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and
    Wednesday and until noon on
    thursday at the John O. Roth
    Funeral Home, Morgan and
    William Streets, Tonawanda.
    Services will be conducted at 2
    p.m. Thursday at St. Paul
    Lutheran Church, Old Falls
    Boulevard, by the Rev. Enno A.
    Schmoock. Burial in Resthaven
    Cemetery. If desired,
    memorials may be made to
    Niagara Lutheran Home or St.
    Paul Lutheran School.

    Notes:

    Albert Dornfeld, of the town of Wheatfield, was born in Prussia,
    Germany, January 5, 1831. In 1843, when twelve years of age, he came
    to America with his parents, settling at the now known village of Mar-
    tinsville, and when about fifteen years old followed boating and other
    occupations for eight years. He then went to Wisconsin where he re-
    mained during 1856 and 1857. He then returned to Martinsville and
    conducted a saw mill and boat yard for some time, when he removed to
    Buft'alo and remained three years, during one of which he was on the
    police force. He then returned to Martinsville and taught a private
    school for twenty years. In 1891 he was elected trustee of the extended
    village of North Tonawanda. In 1893 he was appointed postmaster by
    President Harrison at North Tonawanda, N. Y., and was reappointed
    by President Cleveland in 1895. This post-ofifice has risen under Mr.
    Dornfeld's charge from a fourth class to a second class office, and he is
    very popular with the people. He also held the office of postmaster at
    Martinsville under Cleveland's first administration. Mr. Dornfeld was
    assessor in Wheatfield from 1857 - 1860, was justice of the peace eight
    years and was nominated by his party for supervisor. He has been
    twice married; his first wife was Augusta M. Pritzel, who died leaving
    six children: Augusta Sahr, Gustavus, Louis, Mary Meyer, Edward
    and George. In 1886 he married Maria Hoffman. George Dornfeld
    is assistant postmaster at North Tonawanda since 1893.

    Tonawanda News - 5/29/1919

    The funeral of Albert Dornfeld. the first postmaster of the city of North Tonawanda, was held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the late residence, at 296 Niagara Falls Boulevard, and at 3 o'clock from St Paul's Lutheran Church in Martinsville. The services were largely attended. Rev. H. E. Jacobs officiated and burial was in St. Paul's cemetery at Martinsville. The pallbearers were grandsons of Mr. Dornfeld. Their names follow: Henry and Arthur Meyers of Buffalo, Louis Dornfeld. Jr.. Edwin Sahr, George Bush and George Castleton of the Tonawandas.

    Two sons, Louis G. Dornfeld, of
    North Tonawanda, and George Dornfeld,
    of Tuckahoe, N. J. were appointed executors
    of the estate of the late Albert
    Dornfeld who died at North Tonawanda
    on May 26, 1919. The petition
    gives the value of the estate as $4,600
    real and $200 personal property. Another,
    son. Edward Dornfeld, of North
    Tonawanda, one daughter Maria Meyer,
    of Buffalo, and two grandsons, Edward
    Sahr and George Castellion, both of
    North Tonawanda, also survive. The
    property is bequeathed to these, and
    the executors.
