NORTH TONAWANDA, April 11
°-A. lifelong resident of .this city,
Mrs. Pauline Sahr, 61, of 612 Falls
boulevard died, today in DeGraff
Memorial hospital after a brief illness.
A member of St. Paul's Lutheran
church, she is survived by her husband,
Benjamin M. Sahr; four daughters,
Mrs. Laverne Proefrock, Mrs.
Sanford Verrall, Miss Lucille and
Miss June Sahr, all of this city; three
sons, Leonard, Town of Wheatfield,
and Howard B. and James, both of
this city; one sister, Mrs. John Lamp,
Town of Tonawanda, and three
grandchildren.
The Rev. Frederick Hinners will
officiate at funeral services at 2 p.
m. Saturday at the Hamp Funeral
home, 37 Adam street, Town of Tonawanda..
Interment will be in St
Paul's cemetery.

Notes:

Jaenecke John G., was born in Martinsville, June 5, 1856, and has lived in this place all his life. He was a farmer until thirty years of age, when he engaged in the hotel business and conducts one of the largest hostelries in the county. October 27, 1881, he married Bertha Ziehi and they have three children: Wilhelmine, Benjamin and Pauline. Mr. Jaenecke is a fireman and has been a trustee and president of the company; be is also a trustee of the German Lutheran church and is a Republican in politics. He rebuilt his hotel in 1896, and is a genial and popular man. His parents were Charles F. and Annie (Schwartzenholz) Jaenecke, natives of Germany. Charles F. Jaenecke came to America in 1845 and was a blacksmith and farmer; he died in 1892 and his wife in 1893. Mrs. Jaenecke's parents were Charles and Mary (Reck) Ziehl.

Mrs. Bertha Jaenecke, aged 42 years,
wife of John Jaenecke of Martinsville,
died at her home last night after a
lingering illness. Besides a husband,
three daughters and a son, three sisters,
Mrs. Christ Goeres of North Tonawanda,
Mrs. T. Hartwig of Niagara
Falls and Mrs. R. Fleishman of Wellsvile,
N. Y., and five brothers, August,
Fred, Charles and John Ziehl of North

Wisconsin, survive, The funeral
will be held from the St. Paul's
church at Martinsville on Sudany afternoon.
Burial will be in the Mar-
tinsville cemetery.

Old Resident Dead, Carl Ziehl of Martinsville Passed Away Yesterday - Leaves Large Family.
Carl Ziehl, aged 72 years, an old resident of the town of Pendleton died yesterday morning at his home near Martinsville. Besides his wife, Maria, he leaves five daughters, Mrs. Frederick Wurl, Mrs. William Hartwig, Mrs. G. Fleischman, Mrs. John Jaenecke, and Mrs. C. F. Goerss of this city; and five sons, John, Charles, Ferdinand, Gustav and William. Fourty-four grand children and one great grandchild survive. The deceased came to Niagara County 50 years ago and by occupation has always been a farmer. He enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who knew him. The funeral will be held from the late residence at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
