    MELLENTHINE – Donald M. Mellenthine, 54, of the Town of Wheatfield, Monday (August 16, 1976) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Mellenthine was a former employee of DuPont County, working there 33 years, a member of the 25 Year Club, a veteran of World War II, he was a member of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion and St. John Lutheran Church.

    He is survived by his wife, Sophie (nee Prohaska) Mellenthine; two daughters, Dawn Louise and Nancy Ann Mellenthine; his mother, Mrs. Louise Mellenthine of the Town of Wheatfield; a brother, Ralph Mellenthine of North Tonawanda and a sister, Mrs. Melvin (Gladys) Voelker of the Town of Wheatfield.

    The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, this evening from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in St. John Lutheran Church, Wednesday at 1 p.m., the Rev. Albert W. Bahr will officiate. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or DeGraff Memorial Hospital Building Fund.

    MELLENTHINE – Marcus P. Mellenthine, 62, last night (Sept. 6, 1955) in his home, Ward Rd., St. Johnsburg. He is survived by his wife, Louise, nee Schaller. He was the father of Mrs. Melvin Voelcker of Bergholtz, and Ralph F. and Donald M., of the Town of Wheatfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He was the brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Broecker and half-brother of Edmund and Walter Williams. Services will be in the family residence at 2 p.m. Friday, and at 2:30 p.m. in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. J. Walter Thiemecke will officiate. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Mellenthine was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the St. Johnsburg Fire Company.

    MELLENTHINE – Louise Mellenthine, 90, of the Town of Wheatfield, Sunday (November 25, 1979) at the Fairchild Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Mellenthine was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

    She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Gladys) Voelker of the Town of Wheatfield and a son, Ralph (Doris) Mellenthine of North Tonawanda; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Cawley and Mrs. Martha Neidercorn, both of Wisconsin; mother of the late Donald Mellenthine.

    PROHASKA - John Prohaska, age 83, of 4461 Lower Mountain Road, Lockport, N.
    Y., died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1970 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief
    illness.
    Born in Austria Hungary, Mr. Prohaska had resided in North Tonawanda for
    over 50 years before moving to Lockport 12 years ago. He was employed for
    many years at the former Richardson Boat Co. before retiring in 1947 and was
    a member of St. Joseph's R. C. Church.
    Surviving are his wife, Anna (nee Prohaska); three sons, John of North
    Tonawanda; Frank and Paul Prohaska, both of Lockport; eight daughters, Mrs.
    Catherine Butler, Mrs. Helen Ludwig, Mrs. Edward (Anne) Gougeon, Mrs.
    Richard (Elizabeth) Perry, Mrs. Donald (Sophie) Mellenthine, Mrs. Anthony

    Miller, all of the Tonawandas; 22 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and
    a sister, Mrs. Sophia Waldek of Tonawanda.
    The family will b present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamp Funeral
    Home, inc., anda and Seymoure Streets, Tonawanda, where prayers will be said
    Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at
    10 o'clock in St. Joseph's Church. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. On
    Thanksgiving Day, calling hours are from 2 to 9 p.m. only. Recitation of
    the Rosary Friday evening at 8 o'clock in the funeral home.

    PROHASKA – Anna Prohaska, 84, of Lower Mountain Rd., Lockport, N.Y., Sunday (June 1, 1975) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Austria-Hungary, Mrs. Prohaska had resided in North Tonawanda for over 50 years before moving to Lockport sixteen years ago. She was the wife of the late John Prohaska and a member of St. Joseph’s R. C. Church.

    Mrs. Prohaska is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Catherine Butler, Mrs. Helen Ludwig, Mrs. Edward (Anna) Gougeon, Mrs. Richard (Elizabeth) Perry, Mrs. Donald (Sophie) Mellenthine, Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Beringer, Mrs. Roy) Marie) …..Lockport; also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers in Rumania.

    The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Church. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She is survived by one son, John; one
    daughter, Mrs. Sophia Waldeck; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and
