    Mark's Evangelical Church for
    the marriage of Miss Doris A.
    Andrees, daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. George Andrees, 98 Fredericka
    street, to Ralph F. Mellenthine
    of Ward road. The wedding
    svas salemnized on April 12 by
    the Rev. Paul Fretthold.
    Wearing a white satin gown
    with sweetheart neckline, long
    sleeves pointed at the wrists, and
    full skirt with train, the bride

    carried an arm bouquet of white
    roses centered with a corsage of
    pink roses. Her fingertip veil of
    illusion was edged with lace and
    caught with a halo of orange blossoms.
    Miss Violet Andrees, the maidof-
    honor, wore a gown of yellow
    marquisette with square neck
    line, three-quarter length sleeves,
    with tiers of ruffles featuring the
    skirt. She carried an arm bouquet
    of American Beauty roses. Mrs.
    Ruth Strassburg, Miss Leona Jaeger
    and Miss Sophie Prohaska,
    bridesmaids, wore similarly styled
    gewns in orchid, green and pink
    marquisette. Mrs. Strassburg carried
    Talisman roses, Miss Jaeger,
    yellow roses, and Miss Prohaska,
    pink roses.
    Mr. Mellenthine was attended
    by Donald M. Mellenthine as best
    man; Calvin Mellenthine as
    groom's man and Melvin Voelker
    and Robert Schuster as ushers.
    Mrs. Andrees wore a grey dress
    with brown accessories for her
    daughter's wedding and the bridegroom's
    mother, Mrs. Mellenthine,
    chose navy blue with white accessories.
    Both wore corsages of
    red roses.
    Following the ceremony a wedding
    supper was served in ranger's
    Tavern with covers for
    twenty-eight guests. In the evening
    a reception was tendered the
    couple in St. Johnsburg's Fire Hall
    with 275 guests present. Out of
    town guests were Mrs. Harold
    Hastings and son, Frederick, and
    Mrs. Harvey Zimmerman of Milwaukee,
    Wisconsin and Mr. and
    Mrs. Lloyd Johnson of Holly, N. Y.

    WILLIAM A. ANDREES
    William A. Andrees, 52 years old, died yesterday afternoon at his home on the Nash road at St. Johnsburg after a brief illness. Besides his wife, the deceased is survived by five sons, Henry, William, George, Ernest and Norman of St. Johnsburg; four daughters, the Misses Wilhelmina, Louise, Rosina and Emma Andrees; his mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Andrees; one brother, Henry Andrees of Ransomville and three sisters, Mrs. August Strassburg and Mrs, Charles Stang (sic) of St. Johnsburg and Mrs. Charles Werth of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour late from St. John's Lutheran  Church at St. Johnsburg.  Rev. William Albrecht officiating. Interment will be made at St. Johnsburg. Henry Andrees, the oldest son, is in the National Army.

    NORTH TONAWANDA, Jan 25 - Mrs. Emma Andrees, 80, widow of William Andrees, Fall Town of Wheatfield, died at the home of her daughter, M Edward Heschke, 221 Robinson after a long illness. Born in Germany, she came to this country at the age of 18 residing the greater part of her life in the Town of Wheatfield. She was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid Society of the church and the auxiliary of the Adams Fire Department. She is survived by three daughters besides Mrs. Heschke, Mrs, Carl Lureman. this city; Mrs.*Edward Hildebrandt and Mrs. Philip Moll, Town of Wheatfield; ;five sons, Henry, Norman and George, this city; William and Ernest, Town of Wheatfield: 24 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William Runde, this city,'and a brother, Charles Schultz, Town of Wheatfield. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hamp Funeral Home with the Rev, Walter Thiemecke officiating. Burial will be in St John's cemetery.

    Mrs. Alvina Durow, 90, died this morning at the home of her son, Gustav Durow, 63 Allen street. Born to Germany, she had resided to North Tonawanda the past 81 years. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Philip Herman; three sons, Gustav, John of Lockport and Theodore of Niagara Falls; 28 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a brother, William Ellman of S t Johnsburg. Rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Allen street address and at 2:30 o'clock from the St Mark's church on Washington street The Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate. Burial will be St Marks cemetery.
