    William Ziehl, 84, a native of the
    Martinsville area of North Tonawanda,
    died Tuesday in Milwau-
    kee, Wisc.
    Mr. Ziehl, who moved to Mil-
    waukee nearly 60 years ago, lived
    at 1932 N,. 14th St. in that city.
    He had worked on player pianos
    most of his active life. In North
    Tonawanda. he had worked for the
    DeKliest Co., one of the forerunners
    of the Wurlitzer Co. Then he
    worked for Koefler Mfg. Co.
    Mr. Ziehl is survived by two
    children, Mrs. Henry Schimmels
    and Carl Ziehl of Milwaukee- a
    sister-in-law, Mrs. Gustave Ziehl
    of Lockport Ave., North Tonawanda,
    and many nephews and
    nieces.
    Funeral services will be Saturday
    in Milwaukee.

    Old Resident Dead, Carl Ziehl of Martinsville Passed Away Yesterday - Leaves Large Family.
    Carl Ziehl, aged 72 years, an old resident of the town of Pendleton died yesterday morning at his home near Martinsville. Besides his wife, Maria, he leaves five daughters, Mrs. Frederick Wurl, Mrs. William Hartwig, Mrs. G. Fleischman, Mrs. John Jaenecke, and Mrs. C. F. Goerss of this city; and five sons, John, Charles, Ferdinand, Gustav and William. Fourty-four grand children and one great grandchild survive. The deceased came to Niagara County 50 years ago and by occupation has always been a farmer. He enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who knew him. The funeral will be held from the late residence at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.

    Four Generations Survive Aged Resident Here – Mrs. Marie A. Ziehl of North Side Dies at Age Eighty Leaving Sixty-Six Survivors.
    Four daughters, five sons, forty-nine grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren were the progeny of Mrs. Maria A. Ziehl, eighty years old, who died last night at the home of her son, Gustav Ziehl, Lockport Avenue. Mrs. Ziehl was born in the town of Wheatfield and had lived in North Tonawanda and vicinity all her life. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. August Wurl and Mrs. Mary Goerss of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Minnie Hartwig of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Gottfried Fleisman (sic) of Buffalo; sons Gustav, John and Ferdinand of North Tonawanda, William Ziehl of Milwaukee and Charles Ziehl of Hartland, N.Y; the forty-nine grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Herman Castillion of Appleton, Wis. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the late residence and half an hour later at the St. Paul's Church, Rev. D. H. Steffens officiating.
