    Local Man Dies At Wheel of Auto
    Stricken with a heart attack while driving his automobile home from work at the Electro-Metallurgical company in Niagara Falls at 2 a. m. today, Carl F. Proefrock, 53, of 98 Felton street, was found slumped over the wheel of his car on the River road in the LaSalle section of the Falls, lifeless.
    Coroner James Heary of Niagara Falls investigated and issued a certificate of death from a heart ailment. Proefrock had been under the care of a local physician for some time.
    Proefrock was a lifelong resident and member of St. Peter's church on Oliver street and Sutherland Lodge, No. 826, F.&A.M.
    He is survived by his wife, Amanda A., nee Kowsky; two daughters, Mrs. Rowland E. Stubbs and Mrs. Elmer H. Holrod; three grandchildren and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Proefrock, all of North Tonawanda.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the residence with the Rev. J. J. Braun officiating. Burial will be in Friedens cemetery.

    Charles H. Proefrock
    Charles H. Proefrock, 86, 100 Felton St., a lifelong resident of this vicinity, died yesterday. Born in St. Johnsburg, he was husband of the late Anna Messing Proefrock. Surviving are a brother William, St. Johnsburg; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Leutner, Cleveland; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church, a charter and fifty year member of Gratwick Hose Company and a member of the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent Association. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St. The Rev. Carl E. Berges will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.

    Mrs. Anna Proefrock

    Mrs. Anna Proefrock, 78, died last evening in her residence, 100 Felton St., after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, and a member of the St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church and its Ladies’ Aid Society. Surviving are her husband, Charles; two granddaughters, Mrs. Roland Stubbs and Mrs. Elmer H. Holrod, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:15 p.m. from the late residence. The Rev. J. J. Braun will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.

    STROKE CAUSES DEATH OF FREDERICK MESSING
    Frederick Messing, eighty years old, died at the home of Supervisoe William H. Kinzly at No. 260 Payne avenue this morning. He sustained a stroke of paralysis last Thursday morning which caused his death. Mr. Messing was born in Germany. He came to America when he was eighteen years old and located in the Town of Wheatfield. That part of the town in which he lived later became a part of the city of North Tonawanda. Mr. Messing retired as a farmer many years ago and was making his home with his daughter, Mrs. William H. Kinzly, at the time of his death. He was a charter member of the St. Peter's church on Oliver St.
    Besides Mrs. Kinzley, the deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Proefrock of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Henry Andrees of Ransomville, one sister, Mrs. William Schnell of Sawyer Creek, and one brother, Bernard Messing of Milwaukee, eleven grandchildren and five great grand children. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the late residence and at 2:30 from the St. Peter's church, Rev. Westerman officiating. Burial will be in the Messing cemetery at Sawyer's Creek.

    The funeral of the late Mrs. Frederick Messing, who died Wednesday at the family home on Ruie road at the age of 65 years, will take place tomorrow from the late home at 1 o'clock and from St. Peter's Church in Oliver street one hour later. Burial will be in the Messing Cemetery at Sawyer Creek.
