    Flora DiMatteo (née DiBernardo), age 96, of North Tonawanda, was called to her heavenly home on July 9, 2021 at her residence, while under the care of her loving family and Niagara Hospice. Flora was a member of the former Ascension R.C. Church and presently, St. Jude the Apostle Parish. She was a member of St. Ann Society, Knights of Columbus, Cenacles of Marian Movement of Priests, and supported EWTN and a child sponsor/Unbound Ministries.
    Her greatest joy of her life was her family, wife of her beloved late husband Gino DiMatteo, loving mother to Thomas (Maryrose), Doreen Wendt (Thomas), Gerald (Marie), and Camille Siejka (Thomas), sister to Gabriele DiBernardo (Beverly), Anthony DiBernardo (Geri), the late James DiBernardo (Teresa), the late Vena (Camille) DiBernardo, and the late Nicoletta Heider.
    Proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
    Visitation Monday July 12, 2021 from 3 to 8 PM at the WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday July 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM from St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd, North Tonawanda. Please assemble at church.
    Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude the Apostle, Infant Jesus Shrine or Niagara Hospice.

    16—William E. Wendt, 76, of 431
    Robinson St., died last evening
    (April 15,1955) It his home.
    He was employed by the Ameri-
    can District Steam Co. and the
    Richardson Boat Co., retiring sev-
    eral years ago. He was a member
    of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church,
    Rescue Hose Co. and the Ex-
    Firemen's Assn.
    He is survived by three sons,
    Elmer, Lockport, Robert, in Wis-
    consin and Wilfred, this city; eight
    grandchildren and two great grand-
    children; a brother, Martin Wendt,
    of Dalton, and a sister, Mrs. Mary
    Sahr, Pittsburgh.
    Last rites will be held Monday
    at 2 p.m. at the home and at 2:30
    at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
    Interment will be in St. Matthew's
    Cemetery.

    DIBERNARDO - Frank Dibernardo, 91, Friday (July 2, 1982) in De Veaux Manor. He was born in Penne, Italy, and resided in North Tonawanda most of his life. He was. a Veteran of World War I and a Member of Tonawanda Post 264 American Legion. He was the husband of the late Carmella Dibernardo. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nicoletta Heider and Mrs. Gino (Flora) DiMatteo; four sons, James (Theresa), Vena (Camille), Gabriel (Beverly) and Anthony (Geraldine) Dibernardo, all of North Tonawanda; twenty one grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Larango Colucci Funeral Home, Oliver St. at Fifth Avenue, North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held Tuesday July 6, at 10:15 a.m. and in Ascension R.C.
