    NORTH TONAWANDA — David C. Roberts, age 74, of North Tonawanda, January 27, 2013 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. David was the Plant Manager for the former Roblin Steel Co., retiring after 27 years of service. David was an exceptional football player and enjoyed watching North Tonawanda football games. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching his grandsons play youth sports.

    Beloved husband of Arly (nee Proefrock) Roberts. Dear father of Guy (Regina) Roberts of Wheatfield, Paul Roberts, Thomas (Kathy) Roberts and Mark Roberts, all of North Tonawanda. Brother of Larry Roberts of North Tonawanda and the late Donald Roberts.

    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Wednesday from 5:00-6:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 6:30 PM, the Rev. Dr. A.W. Moldenhauer will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

    Proefrock - Laverne W Proefrock, age 73, of North Tonawanda, Thursday (April 15, 1983) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Mr. Proefrock was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Gratwick Hose Fire Co., the Firemen's Benevolent Assoc. and the American Legion Post #264. Mr. Proefrock was a former employee of Bell Aerospace and was a former North Tonawanda alderman. He was the husband of the late Bertha (nee Sahr) Proefrock who died February 27, 1993.

    He is survived by a son, Marlin Proefrock of Wheatfield and a daughter, Mrs. David (Arly) Roberts of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren, Guy (Regina) Roberts of Wheatfield, Paul (Jodi) Roberts of Wheatfield, Tom and Mark Roberts, both at home; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Adam and Jessica Roberts.

    May 17. The evening was spent
    p l a y i n g games, prizes being won
    by Mrs, Donald Helwig, Helen
    Fels, Mabel Sahr, Mildred Eggert,
    Mrs. Edna Wucol, Mrs.
    Helen Diebold Mr. F.VanDusen,
    Miss Marguerite Knoell, and Miss
    Marge Jaenecke. There was also
    a guest prize.
