STROKE CAUSES DEATH OF FREDERICK MESSING
Frederick Messing, eighty years old, died at the home of Supervisoe William H. Kinzly at No. 260 Payne avenue this morning. He sustained a stroke of paralysis last Thursday morning which caused his death. Mr. Messing was born in Germany. He came to America when he was eighteen years old and located in the Town of Wheatfield. That part of the town in which he lived later became a part of the city of North Tonawanda. Mr. Messing retired as a farmer many years ago and was making his home with his daughter, Mrs. William H. Kinzly, at the time of his death. He was a charter member of the St. Peter's church on Oliver St.
Besides Mrs. Kinzley, the deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Proefrock of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Henry Andrees of Ransomville, one sister, Mrs. William Schnell of Sawyer Creek, and one brother, Bernard Messing of Milwaukee, eleven grandchildren and five great grand children. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the late residence and at 2:30 from the St. Peter's church, Rev. Westerman officiating. Burial will be in the Messing cemetery at Sawyer's Creek.
