    The marriage of Katheryn A.
    Bluhm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Fred Bluhm of Evans street to Malcolm
    Felton Of East Wilson took
    place at 7:30 o'clock on Friday evening
    at the Methodist Episcopal
    church. East Wilson, the Rev. Charles
    C. Titus officiating. The church
    was decorated with baskets of gladloll
    and the wedding music was
    played by Harold Felton, organist,
    brother of the groom.
    The bride wore a princess gown of
    white moire taffeta and her shoulder
    veil was fastened with a coronet
    halo. Her bouquet was a cascade
    of bride roses and baby breath. Attending
    her as bridesmaid was her
    twin sister, Miss Letltia Bluhm,
    wearing a princess gown of aqua
    moire taffeta and her flowers were
    a cascade of gold button chrysanthemums
    and Briarcliffe roses.
    Edward Felton attended the
    groom as best man and ushers were
    Clyde Schultz and Francis Schultz
    of East Wilson. Mrs. Bluhm,
    mother of the bride was gowned m
    black velvet combined with cut velvet
    and her shoulder corsage was
    of gardenias. Mrs. Felton wore a
    costume of blue velvet and her corsage
    waa also of gardenias.
    A reception for 75 guests was held
    later In the church parlors which
    were decorated in aqua and white
    with a white wedding bell suspended
    above the bridal table. Fourteen
    were seated at the table which
    was centered with a handsome wedding
    cake.
    Mr. and Mrs. Felton left to spend
    a week in Detroit, the bride wearing
    a gown of mahogany color with
    coat and accessories of gray. They
    will be at home after Oct 31 in
    East Wilson.

    Syracuse, Olcott, Barker and Newfane

    A retired millwright, and former
    Lockport alderman, Fred W.
    Bluhm, 71. of 8158 Akron Rd.,
    Town of Royalton, died Sunday
    (Sept. 3. 1961) at Lockport Memo-
    rial Hospital after a long illness.
    Born June 26, 1890 in Lockport,

    he was the son of August and
    Albertine Roggow Bluhm
    He was a carpenter-millwright
    at the Harrison Radiator Division
    of General Motors Corp. for many
    years, retiring in 1955.
    He became Interested in politics
    in 1941 and was the committeeman
    for the Third District
    of the Fifth Ward and later the
    alderman for he Fifth Ward for
    two terms. He was also an alderman-
    at-large for eight years.
    He retired from politics in 1953.
    Mr. Bluhm was a member of
    the IOOF United Lodge 98, the
    Lockport Lodge 73 of the F&AM the John Hodge Lodge of Perfection

    and St. Peter's Church.
    Surviving him are his wife,
    Mrs. Letitia Clugston Bluhm; two
    daughters, Mrs. Walter W. Ur-
    tel of Royalton; Mrs. Kathryn A.
    Felton of Lockport; eight grand-
    children; three sisters, Mrs. Fred-
    erick Pratt and Mrs. Lee Taylor
    Sr. of Lockport; and Mrs. Ray-
    mond Cady of Wolcottsville; a
    brother Herbert W. Bluhm of Bur-
    lington, Vt.; and several nieces
    and nephews.
    Friends may call at the Prud-
    den and Kandt Funeral Home,
    242 Genesee St. where funeral
    services will be held on Wednes-
    day afternoon at 2:30. The Rev.
    Herbert L. Seigner will officiate.
    Burial will be in Cold Spring
    Cemetery.

    Mrs. Letitia Clugston Bluhm,
    80, of 7621 Chestnut Ridge Road,
    Town of Royalton, died Sunday
    at Lockport Memorial Hospital,
    after a short illness.
    Mrs. Bluhm was born Feb.
    28, 1891, in Lockport,, the
    daughter of William and Sarah
    Gray Clugston. She was the
    widow of Fred W. Bluhm, a
    former alderman of the city of
    Lockport.
    Mrs. Bluhm was a member
    of Rebekah Lodge 290 and the
    Lockport Senior Citizens. She
    lived with her daughter, Mrs.
    Walter (Letitia) Uriel, in Lockport
    before entering the
    hospital.
    Also surviving are another
    daughter, Mrs. M a l c o lm
    (Kathryn) Felton, Lockport;
    eight grandchildren; eight great
    grandchildren; and several
    nephews and nieces.
    Friends may call at Prudden
    and Kandt Funeral Home, 242
    Genesee St. where funeral
    services will be held Wednesday
    afternoon at 2 p.m.
    Rebekah Lodge 290 will meet
    at Prudden and Kandt at 7 p.m.
    Taesday for a memorial service
    and to pay respects. All
    Rebekah members have been
    asked to attend.
    Interment will be in Cold
    Spring Cemetery.

    Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bluhm, Akron
    Rd., celebrated their 45th
    wedding anniversary on Thursday
    at the home of their daughter
    and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
    Urtel, Akron Rd., and received
    gifts, congratulations and good
    wishes from their many relatives
    and frends.
    Mrs. Bluhm received approximately
    150 guests wearing a green
    and white printed silk dress
    adorned by a corsage of red roses.
    Mr. Bluhm, who was active for
    many years in city politics as
    committeeman for the Third District
    of the Fifth Ward for 10
    years and as alderman-at-large
    for 12 years, greeted many old
    friends among the guests, including
    State Assemblyman Harold
    Altro and Mrs. Altro.
    Guests were served a buffet
    lunch from a table centered by
    pink carnations and white and orchid
    chrysanthemums. White tapers
    in crystal candelabra flanked
    a four-tiered anniversary cake
    which was decorated with white
    swans and topped with a bell surrounded
    by lilies-of-the-valley.
    Married June 29. 1916. in the
    parsonage of the First Presbyterian
    Church by the Rev. Papperman,
    the couple have two
    daughters, Mrs. Urtel and Mrs.
    Malcolm Felton, and eight grandchildren.
    Miss Marcia Felton was in
    charge of the guest book.
    Other guests were present from
    North Carolina, Florida, Albany,
    Middleport, Akron, Buffalo, South
    Carolina, and Newfane.

    August F. Bluhm, 77, former employe
    of the Federal Milling company,
    died at 6:15 this morning at
    the home of his son, Fred W. Bluhm.
    17 Evans street, after a illness of
    two weeks with heart trouble.
    Mr. Bluhm was born in Germany
    but had lived 55 years in this city.
    He was employed for 90 years by
    the former Indurated Fibre corporation
    and for 33 years at the federal
    mill. For the past 10 years he had
    been retired. He was a member of
    Trinity Lutheran church.
    Surviving are four sons, Fred w
    Frank H. William F. and Herbert
    W. Bluhm, and three daughters,
    Mrs. Fred Pratt, Mrs. Lee Taylor
    and Mn. William Sewar, and one
    brother, Fred Bluhm, all of Lockport.
    Services will be held Friday at 2
    o'clock at 17 Evans street and at
    3:30 at Trinity Lutheran church.
    Burial will be In Trinity Lutheran
    Cold Springs cemetery.

    In her 82nd year, Mrs. Albertine
    W. Bluhm. widow of August F.
    Bluhm, died early today at the
    home of her son, Alderman-at-large
    Fred W. Bluhm, 17 Evans St.
    Mrs. Bluhm was born to Germany
    Dec 22, 1885, daughter of Henry
    and Wilhelmuie Quandt Roggow.
    She came to Lockport 60 years ago
    and was one of the oldest members
    of Trinity Lutheran Church. She
    was an'honorary member of the
    Trinity Ladles Aid Society.
    Besides Alderman Bluhm, she
    leaves two other sons, William F.
    Bluhm. Lockport; and Herbert w
    Bluhm, Burlington, Vt.; three
    daughters. Mrs. Frederick Pratt,
    Mrs. Lee W. Taylor and Mrs. William
    Sewar, Lockport; 14 grandchildren;
    13 great-grandchildren; a
    brother, Henry Roggow, Lockport,
    and a sister, Mrs. Frederick Bred-
    lau, Miami.
    Services will be held Thursday at
    2:30 at the home of her son, Fred,
    in Evans Street. Burial will be in
    Trinity Lutheran Cold Springs
    Cemetery.

    LOCKPORT, Nov. 19.-Fifty years
    ago, on November 19, 1887, Mr. and
    Mrs. August Bluhm, 74 South Niagara
    street, were married in the
    town of Lockport by the Rev. Arthur
    Hanser, who was then pastor
    of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran
    church, this oity.
    This afternoon, on their golden
    wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs.
    Bluhm, both still in good health,
    received the congratulations of
    many friends and relatives at the
    home of Mr. and Mrs. William
    Sewar, 74 South Niagara street.
    Mrs. Sewar is a daughter of the
    happy couple.
    A day of celebration which recalled
    many Joys and sorrows of
    a fleeting half century will be
    brought to a close this evening
    when the honored couple will be
    feted by members of their family
    at a dinner to the Park hotel.
    Mr. Bluhm was born in Germany,
    September 1, 1863, and his
    wife first saw the light of day in
    the same country two years later
    on December 22, 1865- Both came
    here In their early twenties and
    have lived ln Lockport ever since.
    For 22 years Mr. Bluhm was toployed
    in the old Indurated Fibre
    corporation plant. Then he obtained
    employment at the Federal
    Milling company and remained
    there for another 21 years. He la
    now retired.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bluhm have lived
    in South Niagara street for many
    years. Both are members of Trinity
    church.
    Joining with them ln the celebration
    of their golden wedding are
    four sons, three daughters and 15
    grandchildren. The children are
    Fred, Frank. William and Herbert
    Bluhm. Mrs. Fred Pratt, Mrs. Lee
    Taylor and Mrs. William Sewar, all
    of this city.
