    North Tonawanda, were united in
    marriage on September 1 in St.
    John's Evangelical Lutheran
    Church at St. Johnsburg. Rev. W.
    J. Thiemecke performed the
    double ring ceremony. Mrs, W.
    J. Thiemecke played the wedding
    music and sang "I Love You
    Truly" and "O Promise Me".
    The bride wore a wedding gown
    of white net fashioned with tight
    bodice the yoke outlined with
    lace ruffles, long fitted sleeves extending
    over the wrists, and tiny
    buttons extending/down the back
    to below the waistline, and full
    skirt, finished with a wide lace
    ruffle extending into a long train.
    A full length veil fell from a
    Juliet cap of orange blossoms.
    She carried white astors and
    bridal wreath centered with a
    corsage of gardenias and wore a
    three strand pearl necklace and
    bracelet, the gift of the groom.
    Miss Dallas Broeker, sister of
    the groom, as maid of honor, wore
    a powder blue net gown with
    sweetheart neckline puffed sleeves
    and peplum edged with pink
    grosgrain ribbon over the full
    skirt. She wore a Dutch cap and
    elbow length gloves of pink net,
    and carried an arm bouquet of
    pink astors and blue delphinium
    tied with pink net ribbon.
    Bridesmaids, Mrs. Lottie Noworyta
    and the bride's sisters Mrs.
    Elwin Behnke and Miss Helen
    Cindrich, wore identically styled
    gowns of neon chiffon, two in
    pink and one in blue, with con-
    trasting Dutch caps and goves
    and carried arm bouquets of blue
    delphinium and pink astors. Miss
    Mildred Cindrich, another sister,
    wore a gown of yellow net, with
    matching cap and gloves and car-
    ried orchid astors and white del-
    phinium tied with orchid net rib-
    bon.
    John Cindrich, brothher of the
    bride, was the groom's best man
    and the ushers were Elwin
    Behnke, Haroldl Sitzman, Edward
    Schimschack and William Stress-
    burg.
    Mrs.. Cindrich, the bride's moth-
    er and Mrs. Broeker,, mother of
    the groom, both chose costumes
    of black and white and wore cor-
    sages of red roses.
    The wedding dinner for the im-
    mediate family was served at the
    St. Johnsburg Fire Hall at 6 p
    m. The bride's table was decor-
    ated with flowers and centered
    with a three tier wedding cake,
    topped with a miniature bride and
    groom. About 200 guests attended
    the reception which followed.
    Among the out of town guests
    were Mr. and Mr. Paul Verko-
    vich of Cleveland, Ohio, Donald
    Broeker of Detroit, Mich., Mr.
    and Mrs. Harold Sniff of Gains-
    ville, N.Y. and others from
    Lewiston, Buffalo,, Niagara Falls,
    Lockport and Kenmore.
    After a wedding trip to Tor-
    onto, Mr. and Mrs. Broeker will
    make their home in 646 Ninety
    First street, Niagara Falls,, N.Y.

    Funeral services for Chester Broeker, a former janitor at the Niagara Wheatfield High School, will be held at 11 a.m. today in St. John Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls Boulevard and Ward Road. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Broeker, 96, of North Gate Manor Nursing Home, died Wednesday (June 29, 1994) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, a charter member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Company and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens. He was the widower of the former Lillian Proefrock. Survivors include a daughter, Dallas LaBarber; a sister, Isabelle Schabell of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Erwin of Buffalo and Lloyd; and seven grandchildren.

    Broecker - Proefrock
    A very pretty wedding was solemnized at 6:30 o'clock last evening at the bride's home, when Miss Lillian Proefrock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Proefrock of St. Johnsburg was united in marriage to Mr. Chester Broecker of North Tonawanda. Rev. William Albrecht, of St. Johnsburg performed the ceremony. The attendants were Miss Alice Broecker, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Ernest Proefrock, brother of the bride. A wedding dinner was served at the bride's home following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Broecker left last evening for a week's visit at Cleveland and other Ohio cities.

    Mrs. Anna Broeker, nee Reitsch, 66, died suddenly last night in the Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after an illness of several months. Born in Germany, she had resided in Tonawanda since she was a year old. The wife of the late Albert Broeker, she was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild of the church. She is survived by four sons, Chester and Lloyd of North Tonawanda, Ervin of Buffalo and Donald of Detroit; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Sniff of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Adolph Kwiatkowski of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Louis Schebell of Tonawanda; a sister, Mrs. Augusta Martin of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the residence and at 2:30 p.m. from the Immanuel church. The Rev. Theodore Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John's cemetery, town of Wheatfield.

For the past 40 years she had been a resident of North Tonawanda. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rietch, Mrs. Herman Engel, Mrs. Otto Schimschack, Mrs. Fred Lavendusky and Mrs. William Pletcher, all of the Tonawandas; three sons, Albert Broecker, Pendleton, and William and Gustav Broecker, North Tonawanda; 28 grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and two brothers, William Mellentine, Germany, and Albert Mellentine, Niagara Falls, N. Y. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. Paul's church on East Felton street, Rev. H. J. Kleiner of the Redeemer Lutheran church, Schenck street officiating.

    WHEATFIELD MAN DIES
    Charles Hildebrandt, 74, to Be Buried Tuesday Afternoon
    NORTH TONAWANDA - Charles Hildebrandt , 74, years old, died yesterday morning at his home on the Niagara falls boulevard in the town of Wheatfield. Born in Germany, he had lived in the town the last 40 years. He is survived by four sons - Charles Hildebrandt, Jr., of North Tonawanda, and William, George and Edward Hildebrandt of Wheatfield; four daughters, Mrs. William Broefrock (sic), Mrs. Herman Ellman and Mrs. Alfred Werth of Wheatfield and Mrs. Harry Livingston of Buffalo; 26 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a brother, Fred Hildebrandt of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, and half an hour later at the St. John's Church, St. Johnsburg. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.
