    The bride, who is the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wollenberg.
    of Beach Ridge, was attractive in a
    floor-length white wedding gown
    and shoulder-length veil, while her
    maid of honor. Miss Florence May,
    sister of the bridegroom, wore pink.

    (April 16, 1956).
    He was born in Tonawanda,
    Sept. 9, 1880, the son of the late
    Frank H. and Magdalena Kuhn
    May/ For 26 years he and his
    brother Frank operated a grocery
    store and meat market in Tonawanda.
    He came to this vicinity
    30 years ago and had operated a
    farm in the Lockport Rd.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Martha A. Salomon May; two
    sons, Howard J. and Raymond H.
    May, Sanborn; two daughters. Mrs.
    James A. Reid. Sanborn, and Mrs.
    Herbert F. Elworthy, Buffalo;

    died Tuesday (May 24, 1960) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long
    illness. Born in North Tonawanda, Mr. Wollenberg had resided in the Town of
    Pendleton for the past 65 years and was employed for more than 23 years by
    The Wurlitzer Co. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving
    are his wife, Edna (nee Kroening); a son, Otis, of North Tonawanda; a
    daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Verna) May of Sanborn, N.Y.; three grandchildren,
    and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Knoell of North Tonawanda. Friends may call at Hamp

    A lovely summer wedding was
    solemnized Saturday afternoon,
    June 15 at 4 p. m. in St Paul's
    Ev. Lutheran Church, Niagara
    Falls Blvd., when Miss Evelyn A
    Pagels, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    William F. Pagels of 509 Falls
    Blvd.. became the bride of Mr.
    Otis F. Wollenberg, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Bernard Wollenberg of Town
    Line Road, North Tonawanda, the
    Rev. Frederick A. Hinners offi-
    ciating.

    The church was attractively dec-
    orated with palms, baskets of col-
    ored fllowers and candelabra. The
    altar vases were filled with bouquets
    of white gladioli and snapdragons.
    Preceding the ceremony
    Mr. Arnold F. Nuoffer gave an
    organ recital, and Mr. Alvin F.
    pagels sang "Today, O Lord, We
    at Thine Altar Stand". During the
    ceremony Mr. Pagels sang "O Per
    fect Love", and "The Lord's Pray-
    er".

    The bride, given in marriage by
    her father, wore a gown with a
    white satin bodice and full skirt
    of net, falling into a train. Her
    finger tip veil of illusions was
    crowned with a halo of orange
    blossoms. She were a double
    strand of pearls, the gift of the
    groom. Her shower bouquet was

    of white roses and snapdragons.
    Mrs. Vera May, the matron of
    tonor, was attired in a deep
    fhiffon gown, with fitted bodice
    long sleeves and full skirt. She
    anrried a bouquet of red roses
    and white snapdragons, and wore
    to her hair a tiara of roses.
    The bridesmaids, Mrs. Eleanor
    Pagels and Mrs. Helen Pagels wore
    Identical gowns of pink marquinette
    with fitted bodice and full
    skirt. They carried bouquets of
    pink roses, white and pink snap
    dragons, and wore a tiara of roses

    in their hair.
    Mr. Elmer Pagels attended the
    groom as best man, and the ushers
    were Mr. Sherwood Lorenz and
    Mr. Raymond May.
    The bride's mother, Mrs. Pagels,
    wore a black and white mesh
    dress, while the groom's mother,
    Mrs. Wollenberg, choose a grey
    crepe dress. Each wore a corsage
    of roses and sweetpeas.
    After the ceremony a wedding
    dinner was served at St Paul's
    pariah hall with covers laid for
    fifty guests. The bride's table was
    decorated with a tiered wedding
    cake, adorned with miniature
    bride and groom, and white or
    ange blossoms.
    In the evening a reception was
    given at the home of the bride
    with one hundred fifty guests
    present
    Mr. and Mrs. Wollenberg left
    for a western wedding trip, and
    thereafter will be at home at 509
    Falls Blvd. The bride's going away
    costume was a tan and brown
    drew with brown accessories, and
    a eoraage'ef roses.
    Prenuptial parties were given
    in the bride's honor by Mrs. Verna
    May, and Mrs. Helen Pagels and
    Mrs. Eleanor Pagels.

    Retired Farmer Called by Death
    NORTH TONAWANDA, Sept. 11 - Gottfried Wollenberg, 79, a resident of Hoffman's Station for the past 5 years, died last night at his home 402 Niagara Falls Boulevard, when he located six months ago. He was born in Germany and came to this country when nine years old, residing at Hoffman's Station. He retired as a farmer six months ago. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Wollenberg; one son, Bernard, Hoffman's Station; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Knoll, of North Tonawanda; eight grandchildren; a brother, Martin, of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Broecker and Miss Martha Wollenberg, both of this city. The funeral will be Friday at 1 pm from the home and at 2:30 from St. Paul's church. Interment will be in St. Paul's cemetery.

    Mrs. Wollenberg Dies After Long Illness
    NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Sarah R. Wollenberg, 82, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Knoell, 479 Payne avenue, after a prolonged illness. Born In Wolcottsville, N. Y., she had resided in North Tonawanda the last 12 years. She was a member of the St. Matthew's Lutheran church, in Wheatfield street, and the Ladies' Aid society of the church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Knoell; a son. Bernhardt Wollenberg, of Hoffman's Station; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Knoell residence Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Carl Frankenstein will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul's cemetery.
