PROEFROCK – Kenneth F. Proefrock, 37, of 4232 Mapleton Road, Town of Wheatfield, died unexpectedly Thursday (April 4, 1963) at DeGraff Hospital. He was born in Tonawanda and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was born in Tonawanda and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a World War II Army veteran and was employed at the Holcum Construction Co. in Niagara Falls. He is survived by his wife, Lottie Kley Proefrock; a son, James R.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Proefrock; three sisters, Mrs. George Henry, Mrs. William Reif and Mrs. John Pignortora, all of the Tonawandas, and one grandchild. Friends may call at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Noel V. Blankenship officiating. Burial in Wheatfield cemetery.

Lottie J (new Kley) Proefrock, 66, of he Town of Penfleton, Monday,(September 25, 1989) at the Newfane Health Facility. Born in Schmalkholden, Germany, she had been a resident of the Town of Pendleton for the past thirty-three years and was the wife of the late Kenneth F. Proefrock. Mrs. Proefrock had been employed at the United States Air Force Reserve Base in Niagara Falls, New York for seventeen years retiring in 1985 and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, James R (Katherine) Proefrock of the Town of Pendleton, three grandchildren, Mrs. Shari (Robert) Simmang of Hampton, Virginia, Marc and Paul Proefrock, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico and two great-grandchildren, Beth and Casey Simmang, a brother, Albert (Jean) Kley of Tonawanda and was tthe dearest friend of Jerry Roberts of the Town of Pendleton.


There will be no prior visitation. A private graveside service will be held in Wheatfield Cemetery in the Town of Wheatfield at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Richard H. Trump will officiate. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Proefrock may be made to the Disbetes Association of W.N.Y. or Salem United Church of Christ. Arrangements by John O. PROEFROCK – Edward A. Proefrock, 88, of Tonawanda (January 13, 1979) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Proefrock was a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, a former employee of Richardson Boat Company, working there 40 years. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Henry, Mrs. William (Pearl) Reif and Mrs. John (Beatrice) Pignatora, aall of North Tonawanda' eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Manth and Mrs. Rene Sylvester, both of North Tonawanda; three brothers, Fred of Warsaw, Arnold of North Tonawanda and Walter Proefrock of California; father of the late Glenwood and Kenneth Proefrock.

The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer will officiate. Interment in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Louise M Proefrock, 73, of 426 Young St., Tonawanda died Feb 5, 1967 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Proefrock was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Edward A Proefrock; three daughters, Mrs. George (Lucille) Henry, Mrs. William (Pearl) Rief and Mrs. John (Beatrice) Pignatora, all of North Tonawanda, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Edward and August Hubner, both of the Town of Wheatfield.

Friends may call at Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, North Tonawanda, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Family will be in attendance from 2-4 and 7-9. Interment in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer will officiate.

Y.; four daughters, Mrs. Emma Kolbe, Mrs. Edward Manth, Mrs. Walter Wilke and Mrs. Edwin Freck, North Tonawanda; 31 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Gustav Schendel, Town of Wheatfield. Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the residence and at 4 o'clock from the St. Matthew's church on Wheatfield street. Rev. Carl Frankenstein will officiate and burial will be in St. Matthew's cemetery.
