    ring ceremony uniting in
    marriage the daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. John Kniese, Col-
    lins, and the son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Herbert "R. Prudom, 2570
    Carmen Road, Middleport.
    Given in marriage by her
    father, the bride was attired
    in a gown of peau de soie
    and organza which she made,
    A headpiece of organza petals
    secured her veil and she car-
    ried a bouquet of orchids, red
    roses and ivy.
    Miss Marcia Kniese, who
    was maid of honor for her
    sister, was attired in a yellow
    gown also made by the bride.
    She wore a matching veil and
    carried a basket of yellow and
    white pompoms. similarly at-
    tired in Nile green were the
    bridesmaids, Miss Elaine
    Elsen, Washington, D.C., and
    Miss Joan Fisher, Rochester.
    Winston Prudom was best
    man for his brother. Ushers
    were John Orynowke,
    Niagara Falls and Robert
    Maughan, Sayre, Pa.
    A reception was held im-
    mediately after the ceremony
    in the church hall.
    Upon their return from a
    wedding trip to New England
    and Canda the couple will
    reside in College Station,
    Tex., where Mr. Prudom is
    a senior at Texas A and M
    University. Both the bride and
    bridegroom are graduates of
    the State University of New
    York Agricultural and
    Technical College at Alfred.

    Gladys M. Prudom , 81, who was active in several community groups, died Friday (Jan. 9, 1998) in the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina.
    A native of Pendleton, the former Gladys M. Hasley was a member of Cheer Rebekah Lodge in Newfane and a past district deputy of the Rebekahs
    She also was a member of Quaker Road United Methodist Church, Johnson Creek Senior Citizens, Newfane Grange 1292 and the auxiliaries of Aerie 825, Fraternal Order of Eagles, in Lockport and the Hartland Conservation Club of Newfane.
    Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Herbert R.; two sons, Winston of Medina and Albert of Wisconsin; two daughters, Linda Wilson of Newfane and Lori Sue Hasley; two sisters, Leona Forth of Lockport and Alice Weinheimer of North Tonawanda; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.

    PENDLETON - A longtime area farmer, Elmer L. Haseley, 75, of Mapleton Road, died Sunday (Feb 6, 1966) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a two year illness.
    Mr. Haseley was bom in LaSalle, March 21, 1890, son of William and Otillie Wendt Haseley. He was one of the oldest members of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and operated a farm In Mapleton Road for more then 50 years. Survivors include three
    daughters, Mrs. Herbert Prudom, Middleport, Mrs. Carl Forth, Pendleton, and Mrs. Howard Weinheimer, North Tonawanda; two brothers, Victor Haseley, North Tonawanda, and Wilbur Haseley, Niagara Fails; a sister, Mrs. Ida Williams, Bergholz; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gaul Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Kolbe of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.

    -The marriage of Herbert Prudom.
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Prudom.
    to Miss Gladys Haseley,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
    Haseley, of Mapleton, took place
    Saturday at 2 o'clock at the home
    of the bride. The Rev. Myers per-
    formed the ceremony.
    The bride wore a white satin
    gown and a veil which was worn
    by her mother. She carried a show-
    er bouquet of white roses. she was
    attended by her sister, Miss Alice
    Haseley, who wore a gown of green
    satin and carried roses.
    The groom was attended by his
    cousin, Leo Hausman, of Knowles-
    ville.
    After the ceremony, the bride
    and groom received the guests in
    the living room before an embank-
    ment of oak leaves and throne ber-
    ries. Dinner was served with 10 at
    the bride's table which was cen-
    tered with a tiered bride's cake.
    The bride's gift to her maid was
    a golf bracelet and the groom pre-
    sented his best man with a billfold.
    Mr. and Mrs. Prudom left for a
    two weeks' hunting trip in the
    Adirondack mountains. After Nov-
    ember 20 they will be at home with
    Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Prudom of
    Middleport.

    Mrs. Ottilie Haseley. 81-year-old, native and lifelong resident of Niagara county, died at her home. 1820 Pierce Avenue last night. The funeral will be held from the home at 2:30 pm Saturday with services at St Peter's Lutheran Church Walmore, at 3:15 pm The Rev Edward Grabau will officiating.     SHAWNEE. Oct. 2. The funeral of Charles Bischkopf. 77 years old, was held at the home of his son. William, in Lockport and later at St. Paul's Evangelical church In Shawnee. Rev. Twente, of North Tonawanda, officiated. The grandchildren carried
    flowers. And the bearers were Charles Hamann, John Miller, Burt Moje. Leonard Flach, Frank Zuch and George Reafasall. Mr. Bischkopf lived on a farrn on the Mapleton road for many years and was well known In the community. He leaves one son. William, of
    Lockport; two daughters. Mrs. William Mittelstaedt. of Campbell boulevard. and Mrs. Elmer Haseley, of Mapleton; and eight grandchildren.

    OLD RESIDENT OF MAPLETON DIES
    Mapleton - April 12. Mrs. Minnie Voelker Bischkopf age 76 wife of Charles Bischkopf, died Sunday at her home on the Mapleton road after a long illness. Mrs. Bischkopf was born in Germany and had lived in this vicinity for 50 years. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a short time ago. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Haseley, and Mrs. William Mittelstaedt of this place and one son William of Lockport; also four brothers Ferdinand, Carl, Norman, and Fred Voelker all of Pendleton. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock from the home and 2:30 at the Shawnee church of which she was a devout member. Intermnet will take place in Shawnee Cemetery.

    Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bischkopf
    of ePndtoton were pleasantly surprised
    by their children on Sunday,
    the occasion being their 48th wedding
    anniversary.
    At six o'clock a delightful supper
    was served, fifteen were seated at
    the table, where the color scheme
    in yellow and white was effectively
    carried out, the center piece being
    s basket of roses and daffodils with
    streamers running to vases on each
    end of the table.
    The anniversary cake which featured
    the occasion bore the words
    "Forty-eighth Anniversary." in yellow.
    It also bore forty-eight yellow
    candles which when lighted gave a
    very pretty effect and the favors
    were yellow daffodil name cards.
    Among the guests present were
    their three children, William Bischhopf
    of this city, Mrs. Elmer HMlev
    Of Mapleton and Mrs. William
    Mittelstaedt of the Campbell boulevard.
    Music waa the feature of the
    day. Mr. and Mrs. Bischkopf received
    many good wishes from those
    being present.
    A poem written by Miss Helen
    Mittelstaedt, a grand daughter, was
    read and proved very interesting.
