    Harold F. Schultz, a math teacher in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda school system for 30 years, died Wednesday (Aug. 12, 1998) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness. He was 60.
    Schultz, who lived on Errick Road, was born in Niagara Falls and was a graduate of LaSalle High School. He also attended Case Western University in Cleveland and graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University at Buffalo. He also did post-graduate work at Buffalo State College.
    Schultz retired as a teacher in 1993.
    He was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, was a member of the board of elders and served as president of the congregation.
    He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and woodworking.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Jane Winkley, and three sons, Dr. Douglas A. of Buffalo, Darryl J. of Niagara Falls and Craig M.
    Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.

    Of Wheatfield, NY passed away October 9, 2022. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 3, 1939.  She was the daughter of the late James F. and Beatrice M. (LeVan) Winkley.
    Mrs. Schultz was a math and science teacher at Niagara Wheatfield Middle School for 31 years. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church and was actively involved with the Sanborn Historical Society.
    Jane was the wife of the late Harold F. Schultz.
    She is survived by her sons Douglas A. (Jeffrey Moyer) Schultz, M.D., Darryl J. Schultz and Craig M. (Jeanette) Schultz, grandchildren Maximillian Schultz and Miranda Schultz, brother Donald (Gail) Winkley, nieces Heather, Marla and Donelle and nephew Brian.
    She was the grandmother of the late Charles M. Schultz and sister of the late Marie (late Dean) Sherk.

    Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.  Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10AM at Grace Lutheran , 736 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, NY.

    Interment in Wheatfield Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be made to Grace Lutheran Cemetery or the Sanborn Historical Society

    Ruth E. Schultz, 86, a teacher of porcelain arts and a church organist, died Friday (May 8, 1998) in the Crestwood Health Care Center, after a short illness.
    The former Ruth Greenwald was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from the Toronto Conservatory of Music.
    She most recently had lived in Wheatfield Towers.
    Before that, she had lived in the Royal Park Apartments and on Cayuga Drive, both in Niagara Falls.
    She worked in Niagara Falls as a secretary in the 1930s for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. and then worked as the manager of the former Greenwald's Restaurant, which was owned by her family.
    Mrs. Schultz taught porcelain arts in her home for many years and was a member of the Great Lakes Porcelain Arts Teachers and Associates.
    She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, where she taught Sunday school, served as church organist and was a member of the Grace Ladies.
    Her husband, Harold E., died in 1941.
    Survivors include a son, Harold F., and three grandsons.
    Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Cayuga Drive, at Pershing Avenue. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston

    Hold Last Rites for Royal LeVan
    Prominent Sanborn Resident Laid to Final Rest. 
    SANBORN, Aug. 2 – The funeral of Royal T. LeVan, 58, who died on Friday at a Rochester hospital, was held at the family home in Buffalo avenue on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and was one of the largest ever held in this section. A profusion of beautiful floral offerings expressed the high esteem of a wide circle of friends and relatives. Members of Sanborn Fire company, Forest Lodge, No. 202 ,I.O.O.F., and Sanborn Rebekah Lodge, No. 668, of which organizations Mr. LeVan was a member, attended in a body and the two latter had part in the service at the cemetery. The bearers included B. L. Hudson, Ray Kline, Ross N. Hudson, Willard C. Dale, A. T. Tompkins and N. C. Martin. The Rev. Frank N. Taft was the officiating clergyman. Interment was in Shawnee cemetery.
