The marriage of Miss Gertrude
Grace Ellman, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Gustav O. Ellman of Ruie road.
to Mr. Norman W. Arndt of Elma. N
Y., was solemnized yesterday afternoon
at three o'clock at, the Frieden's
Lutheran Church, corner Vandevoort
and Schenk streets. The Rev. E. A.
Schultz performed the ceremony us-
ing the ring service in the presence
of 120 guests. The church was dec-
orated
throughout with ferns, plants
and cut flowers. Mr. James Whitely
sang. "I Love You Truly." and "O
Promise Me, during the ceremony
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, wsa gowned in ivory
tharmeuae with a beaded overdress.
Her vril of duchess lace was caught
with lilies of the valley and she cartied
a shower of killarney roses and
lilies of the valley The attendants
were Mrs C A. Janowsky, who was
maid uf honor, and Miss Edith Arndt.

Tank of Elma were brides maids The
grooms attendants were Mr C A
Janowsky. as best man. .Mr: Arthur
Thlel. of Buffalo, Mr Elmer Arndt
of Elma and Mr Edward Hacker of
Niagara Falls Mrs. Manowsky was
gowned in a turquoise blue taffeta
carrying ophflia roses and cream
sweet pees. Miss Arndt wore a gown
of pink taffeta ami caried a bouquet
of pink aweetpeas. Miss Collins was
gowned in green crepe-de-chine, carry
ing a bouquet of White sweetpeas, aand
Miss Tank wore a lavender gown of
crepe-de chine and carried a bouquet
of lavender sweetpeas. Mrs. Ellman
was gowned in black satin and wore
a corsage of lavender sweetpeas. After
the ceremony, a wedding diuner
was served with covers for eight at
the bride's table, which was prettily
decorated in a pink and yellow
scheme. Among the out-of-town guests
were Mr Chartes Arndt, Mrs Ella
Pfenner and family. Mr and Mrs
Edward Arndt. Mr. and Mrs Charles
J Arndt. the Misses Carrie and Irene
Hoffman all of Elma. Mr Herbert
Arndt of East Aurora, and Mr. and
Mrs John Arndt and family of East
Aurora; Mr and Mrs. William Groy-
meyer. Mr and Mrs Carl Ellman and
Mr and Mrs Albert Ellman of Buffalo
Mr and Mrs. Arndt will be at home
after, May 1. in Elma

Norman married ELLMANN, Gertrude on 27 Apr 1919 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. Gertrude (daughter of ELLMANN, Gustave O and DUWE, Mary) was born on 11 Dec 1898 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; died in Apr 1986. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Gustave O. Ellman, 79, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Fred Thorman, 223 East Felton street. He was born in Germany and had lived
in North Tonawanda 72 years. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Fred
Thorman, Mrs. John Golem and Mrs. Christian Janowsky of North Tonawanda and
Mrs. Norman Arndt of Holland, N.Y. and by a son, Carl G., of Buffalo, 17
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Grainge of
Florida. He was a member of Friedens church and the Order of Maccabees.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. from his daughter's residence with the
Rev. Theophil Twente officicating. Burial will be in the Friedens cemetery.

Gustave + DUWE, Mary. Mary (daughter of DUWE, Charles and BROUSER, Bertha) was born in 1867 in Clarence, Erie County, NY; died on 20 Jun 1932 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

MRS. MARY ELLMAN
Mrs. Mary Ellman, 65 years old, died yesterday afternoon at her home on the Ruie road, following a lingering illness. She had been a resident of North Tonawanda and vicinity for many years. She was a member of Friedens church and of the Lady Moccabees. Surviving are a husband, Gustave O.; a son, Carl, Buffalo; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Thorman, Mrs. John C. Golem, and Mrs. Christ Janowsky, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Norman W. Arndt, East Aurora; a mother, Mrs. Bertha Gawe (sic); two sisters, Mrs. Herman Kirchoff and Mrs. Emma Zuck, Buffalo; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, Rev. Theophil Manzel officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
