    decorated the chancel of St. Mark's
    Evangelical Lutheran church on
    May 3 for the marriage of Miss
    Lois L. Ellman, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Fred Ellman, 156 Stenzil
    street, to H. Lyle Aiken of Linwood
    avenue, North Tonawanda.
    The Rev. Paul Fretthold officiated
    at the double ring ceremony.
    Preceding the ceremony Mr.
    Martin Brauer sang "Because" and
    during the ceremony "The Lord's
    Prayer." The organist was Mr.
    Arnold Johanns.
    Given in marriage by her father
    the bride wore a gown of white
    slipper satin with fitted bodice,
    illusion yoke, long fitted sleeves
    coming to points over the wrists
    and fastened at the back with tiny
    buttons. The full skirt formed a
    large circular train and was edged
    with Alencon lace. Her fingertip
    veil of illusion fell from a halo
    of orange blossoms and she carried
    an arm bouquet of white
    roses and sweetpeas.
    Miss Helen Ellman, cousin of
    the bride, was maid of honor,
    wearing a gown of green brocaded
    satin and net with off-shoulder
    yoke, bustle back and tiny buttons
    extending down to the waist. She
    carried a Colonial bouquet of
    Talisman roses. Miss Lorraine
    Gombert and Miss Janice Aiken,
    bridesmaids, wore similarly styled
    gowns in yellow and orchid. Miss
    Gombert carried a colonial bouquet
    of American Beauty roses
    and Miss Aiken carried yellow
    roses
    Robert Aiken attended his
    brother as best man and the ushers
    were Robert Leverentz and
    Floyd Wildt.
    Mrs. Ellman and Mrs. Aiken
    each wpre navy blue dresses
    with white accessories. Both wore
    corsages of red roses and white
    sweetpeas.
    Folloming the ceremony a dinner
    was served in Jake's Tavern
    with covers for twenty-two guests.
    In the evening a reception was
    held in the Gratwick Hose House
    with 200 guests present.
    Mr. and Mrs. Aiken left for a
    wedding trip to Watkins Glen,
    N. Y.

    after a lengthy illness.
    Mrs. Aiken was a
    r e s i d e n t of North
    Tonawanda the past 40
    years, a member of St.
    Mark Lutheran Church
    and the Wollcottsville
    Golden Agers.
    She is survived by her
    husband, Ralph Aiken;
    two sons, Robert R. of
    North Miami Beach, Fla.,
    and H. Lyle Aiken of
    North Tonawanda; a
    daughter, Mrs. Walter
    (Janice) Bukowski of
    North Tonawanda; nine
    g r a n d c h i l d r e n ; five
    great-grandchildren and
    m a n y n i e c e s and
    nephews.
    The family will receive
    friends at the Fretthold
    Funeral Home, Inc., 1241
    Oliver St., at Ward Rd.,
    North Tonawanda this
    evening from 7 to 9 p.m.,
    and Tuesday from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. Services
    will be held at the funeral
    home Wednesday at 9:30
    a.m., the Rev. Thomas K.
    Spahn will officiate.
    Interment in St. Mark
    Lutheran Cemetery.
    If desired, memorials
    may be made to St. Mark
    Lutheran Church.

    SANBORN, April 23, - Charles F. Baehr, 83,died at his home at West Shelby on Sunday after an illness of two weeks. He is survived by his wife, Augustina; two sons, Fred, of Miami, Fla.; Edward, of Shelby; four daughters, Mrs. Andrew Voelker of Middleport: Mrs. Clarence Leverentz of North Tonawanda: Mrs. Ralph Aiker of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Frank Lehman of Griffon street, Sanborn and 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. at the home and at 2:30 at Trinity Lutheran church at Medina. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant cemetery at West Shelby.

    Services for Mrs. Augustina Schuler Baehr, 84, widow of Charles Baehr who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Voelker, Middleport, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Trinity Lutheran Church, Medina with the Rev. Herman Meier officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby. Mrs. Baehr, who was born in Johnsburg and has been a resident of Middleport for the past six years, was a member of the Lutheran Church.

    On Wednesday, Jan. 4th the
    golden wedding anniversary oh
    Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baehr was
    celebrated at their hone in Shelby
    Center. On Jan. 4, 1883 they
    were married by Rev. Staerker in
    Wolcottsvllle, N. Y.
    Their brothers and sisters with
    their respective spouses, the children
    and grandchildren assembled
    at the residence at 8 o'clock p. m.
    The celebration was begun with a
    short service, Rev. C. Poeekler officiating.
    After a solo on the words
    of Pa. 91, i-6 by the pastor, he also
    gave an address on 1 Samuel 7,18:
    "Then Samuel took a stone, and
    set it between Mfsoeh and Shen,
    and called the name of it Ebenezer,
    saying. Hitherto hath the
    Lord helped us." Then the golden
    wedding ritual was used closing
    with prayer suitable for the occasion.
    The service ended by another
    solo by the pastor:
    "All depends on our possessing
    God's free love and grace blessing.
    Though all earthly wealth depart;
    He who God for bis hath taken,
    'Mid the changing world unshaken
    Keeps a free, heroic heart.
    He who hitherto hath fed me.
    And to many a Joy hath led me.
