The marriage of Miss Gertrude
Anna Henning. daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Helmuth Henning, Church
Street, Lockport, to Allan Loftus.
also of Lockport, was quietly solemnized
at 10 o'clock on Wednesday
morning in St. John's rectory, the
Rev. Dr. Francis A. Clancy, rector,
officiating.
The bride wore a gown of pnk
mousseline de soie over a matching
satin slip with hat of white lace.
She carried a Colonial bouquet of
white roses and lilies of the valley.
Miss Eleanor Henning, Lockport,
was her sister's only attendant, and
she was dressed in blue mousseline
de soie with hat of pink lace and
long blue mitts. Her flowers were
pink roses and blue lupine.
John Loftus, Lockport, was his
brother's best man. The bride's
mother wore an attractive gown of
black crepe and accessories to correspond.
Her corsage was composed
of gardenias.
Following the ceremony a wedding
breakfast was given at the bride's
home for the immediate families.
Covers were laid for twelve at the
bride's table, which was decorated
with spring flowers, and centered
with a large wedding cake.
Upon returning from a trip to
New York, the couple will be at
home at 287 East Avenue, Lockport.
The bride's traveling outfit was a
blue silk suit with brown accessories.
Among prenuptial parties given
for the bride was a kitchen shower
and bridge party given by her sisters,
Mrs. Harold Volschow and Miss
Eleanor Henning, both of Lockport

years. Helmuth A. Henning. 67. of
237 Church street, died suddenly at
hl.s home todav of a heart attack
Born In Germany In 1879. a son
of Mr and Mrs August Henning. he
rnme to this rity 58 years ago and
had lived In the first ward for 34
years. His first Job was at the
former Glass factory In Green street.
I.ater he was employed at the
former Heary and McGrath lumber
yard here and the Ayers-Wtlmer
Lumber company at Niagara Falls
From there he came to Williams
Brothers department store
.Surviving are his wife. Mrs
Ernestine Brauer Henning. three
daughters. Mrs Harold L Volschow,
Mrs Allen L Loftus and Miss
Eleanor Henning. and a sister. Mrs
Martha Greenthaner, all of this city
Last rites will be held Thursdav
at 2:30 p. m at the home with
burial In Trinity Lutheran Cold
Springs cemetery.

Helmuth married BRAUER, Ernestine about 1900. Ernestine (daughter of BRAUER, Carl Friedrich and CHRISTOPH, Wilhelmine Friedericke Charlotte) was born on 21 Aug 1880 in Germany; died on 4 Jul 1949 in Lockport Memorial Hospital, Lockport, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Ernestine Hennlng, 68, widow
of Helmuth A. Hennlng. 237
Church St., died Monday In Lockport
City Hospital after a long ill
ness.
Born in Germany Aug. 21, 1880
daughter of Mr. and Mra. Carl
Brauer. she lived most of her life
In Lockport where she was a mem
her of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Her husband, who was employed
at the Williams Brothers Company
department store, died In January,
1947. Surviving are three duaghters,
Mrs. Harold L. Volschow, Mrs. Allen
L. Lof tus and Miss Eleanor Henning;
two grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren and two brothers,
August and Charles Brauer, all
of Lockport.
Services will be held Thursday at
3:80 at the home. Burial will be in
Trinity Lutheran Cold Spring Cemetery.

Carl married CHRISTOPH, Wilhelmine Friedericke Charlotte about 1863 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Wilhelmine was born about 1843 in Germany; died in 1929. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
