Notes:

John E. McNamara, age 87, of Tonawanda, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Schofield Residence. Born December 10, 1931 in Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Timothy E. and Elizabeth (nee Brauer) McNamara. He served in the Army National Guard from 1952 to 1958. John was a foreman at Exelon-ESK in Tonawanda before retiring. He was a lifelong member of the Gastown Sportsmen's Club, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, and was an avid hunter, bowler and fisherman.
He was the husband of the late Gloria J. McNamara, who died December 1, 2009; father of Keith (Sandra) McNamara of Cheektowaga, Nora Jean McNamara of Tonawanda, and the late Catherine L. Szczublewski, who died August 6, 2013. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to Hospice Buffalo are preferred by the family.

Gloria (nee Marohn) McNamara, age 81, of Tonawanda, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jennie (nee Brock) McNamara. Mrs. McNamara was a lifelong resident of Tonawanda and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" McNamara; two daughters, Nora Jean McNamara and Catherine (Robert) Szczublewski; a son, Keith (Sandie) McNamara; two sisters, Rose Marohn and Christine (Keith) Anderson; and a brother, Roger (Sherrie) Marohn. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Shannon McNamara; and several nieces and nephews. There is no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11 AM on Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, William and Scott Streets, Tonawanda. in the DeGraff Memorial hospital.
Born in Pennsylvania, he had resided
in the Tonawandas the past
60 years. He was a member of
the local branch of the Orioles and
the Second Degree Lodge of
Orioles of Buffalo. Surviving are
his wife, Mercie, nee Ward; five
