    Judith Arlene Webb Cruickshank, of Siler City, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
     
    The daughter of the late James Arthur Webb and Elsie E. Webb, Judith was born June 12th, 1940, in Niagara Falls, New York.  A graduate of LaSalle High School, she attended Buffalo State University and then worked at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital for more than 20 years. Judith met and married the love of her life, the late Duncan Sinclair Cruickshank III, and they were married for 48 years.
     
    She is survived by her brother Timothy Webb of Flint, Michigan, sister Nancy Brenske of Winston Salem, North Carolina, and sister Rosemary Trapasso of Youngstown, New York. She leaves behind a legacy of four surviving children and their families: Duncan Sinclair Cruickshank IV of Siler City, North Carolina; Bruce Cruickshank and his wife Elizabeth of Chesapeake, Virginia, and their children Duncan, John, Rachel, and Elizabeth; Sharon Guariglia and her husband Richard of Silk Hope, North Carolina, and their children Michael and Nicholas; and Brenda Stecher and her husband Joseph of Siler City, North Carolina, and their children David and Emily.
     
    A celebration of Judith’s life will be held on Friday, December 1st at 10:30am at St. Julia’s Church in Siler City, followed by a short reception in the church hall.

    Elsie E. Webb, 74, of Ferry Avenue, died Tuesday (Aug. 14, 1990) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Town of Lewiston,. The daughter of William R. and Elizabeth E. (Stern) Morse was born in Niagara Falls. She had been employed at the New York Telephone Co. for several years prior to working at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as a switchboard operator for 22 years. She retired in 1986. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church. Her husband, Arthur James Webb, died in 1984. She is survived by three daughters, Judith Cruickshank of Lantana, Fla., Rosemary Trapasso of Youngstown, and Nancy Brenske of Winston Salem, N.C.; a son, TImothy James Webb of Burton, Mich.; two brothers, James G. Morse of Ransomville, and Dr. William R. Morse of Columbus, Ohio; and 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret Sessman. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Church, Military Road. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Town of Lewiston. Contributions to the American Heart Association are acceptable as tribute.

    A very pretty wedding took place
    Saturday morning, June 10, in the
    rectory of the Sacred Heart church,
    when Miss Elsie E Morse, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Morse, of
    Ontario avenue, was united In marriage
    to Mr. Arthur J. Webb, ton of
    Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Webb, of La-
    Salle avenue. The Rev. John J.
    Sheehy performed the ceremony.
    The bride was lovely In a white

    net dress made on princess lines,
    wtih a slight train. Her fingertip
    veil of double Illusion was made in
    a halo effect adorned on either side
    with a cluster of calla lilies and
    orange bossoms. She carried an arm
    bouquet of whits roses and gypsophela.
    Miss Margaret Morse, sister of the
    bride, her only attendant, was
    charming In a peach net dress on
    princess lines, similar to the bride's,
    with peach accessories. She carried
    an arm bouquet of yellow roses,
    snapdragons and gypsophela, tied
    with blue ribbon.
    Edward Kernin acted as best man.
    The brides' mother wore a navy
    blue chiffon dress with white accessories.
    Her corsage was of pink
    roses. The mother of the groom
    wore a blue printed chiffon with
    white accessories. Her corsage was
    of yellow roses.
    After the wedding ceremony a
    dinner was held at the Red Coach
    Inn. Covers were laid for 21 at the
    bride's table, which was attractively
    decorated with cut flowers and
    tapered at either end with ivory
    candles in silver holders and cen-
    tered with a large wedding cake.
    Later a reception was held at the
    home of the brides' parents.
    Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Webb left on
    a tour of the Thousand Islands, the
    Adirondacks and the eastern part of
    the state. The bride traveled in a
    nacy dress with white accessories.
    On their return Mr. and Mrs. A. J.
    Webb will reside at 633 Thirty-
    fourth street.
    Pre-nuptial affairs for the bride
    were a variety shower at the Plan-
    tation given by Mrs. W. J. Webb,
    Mrs. F. Summerfield and Miss Mary
    Webb; a dinner party given by Mr.
    and Mrs. John Boddecker and a
    shower at the Colonial given by Miss
    Margaret Morse.

    A'native of Middleport and a resident of this city for 41 years, Mrs.Elsie E. Morse, 56. of 2207 Ontario avenue, died today in Mt. St. Mary's hospital.Surviving are her husband, William R. Morse; two daughters, Mrs.Bernard Sessman and Mrs. Arthur Webb, both of this city; two sons,Dr. William R. Morse, Jr., Kalamazoo Mich., and Sgt. James Morse, USAF, El Paso. Tex.: three sisters, Mrs. William Cook. Middleport, and Mrs. Frank Farrell and Mrs. John Spaulding, both of Lockport; one brother, Edwin Stern, Middleport,and seven grandchildren.Another sister, Mrs. Arthur C, Nash, Detroit, Mich., died yesterday.Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at the home, 2207 Ontario avenue, and at Sacred Heart church, the, time to be 'announced later.
