    watchful hoping and praying
    have ended sadly for
    this cornjmunity and the,
    family of Eugene R." Olds,
    34, of 3209'Upper Mountain
    Road, who was stricken
    in early fall with what
    was diagnosed as leukemia.
    Death came today (March
    6, 19G4) for Mr. Olds In Doctors
    Hospital, .Town of Tonawanda.
    An unprecedented outpouring
    of community assistance
    followed the revelation of his
    "serious" illness. The efforts
    included completion of the
    harvesting on the Olds' large
    farm, work by women of the
    vicinity in relieving the burden
    on Mrs. Olds and the
    largest donation of blood for
    an individual case in the history
    of Lewiston Fire Co.
    No. 1.
    Mr. Olds was born in Cambria
    April 20, 1929, the son of
    Mrs. Mildred Woods Olds and
    the late Raymond Olds.
    He was associated with his
    father in the operation of
    the farm in Upper Mountain
    Road.
    He was a member of St.
    Andrew's Lutheran Church,
    Pekin Forest Lodge No. 202,
    IOOF, Sanbom-Pekin Volunteer
    Fire Co., Niagara County
    Farm Bureau, Niagara County
    Milk Producers Cooperative
    and various other farm organizations.
    Surviving are his mother;
    his widow, Mrs. Lynn Olds:
    three sons, Duane, Leslie and
    Drew Olds and two daughters,
    Faye and Dawn Olds, all of
    Pekin; two sisters, Mrs. Sterling
    Baker, Pekin, and Mrs.
    Paul Moore, Norristown, Pa.
    Friends may call at the. Pike
    and Jones Funeral Home,
    Hoover Road, Sanborn, where
    services will be conducted at
    2:30 p.m. Sunday and at 3
    p.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran
    Church by Rev. LaVerne J.

    Lynne Olds Baker, 77, of Ransomville, went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her children. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Bennett) Reubens. Lynne was raised in Sanborn and attended local schools. She spent most of her life working on the family fruit and dairy farm, Rock Terrace Farm, in Cambria with her husband, Gene. She also worked for many years at H.A. Treichler and Sons greenhouses in Sanborn. She was a founding member of the Pekin Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau. Lynne loved life; she loved to work hard, loved her gardens and enjoyed golfing and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed her time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed.Lynne is survived by her children, Faye Olds of Newfane, Dawn (Richard) Schimschack of Lewiston, Les (Sue) Olds of Lewiston, Drew (Kathy) Olds of Youngstown and Jennifer (David) DePonceau of Cambria; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Maureen Magliazzo (North Tonawanda) and June Hirschman (West Palm Beach) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Duane E. Olds; her husbands, Eugene Olds and Howard Baker; her longtime companion, Roger Erck; two brothers, Keith and Reven Reubens; a sister, Mary Sandra Scarfone and two grandsons, Frank and Lester Olds.A private Memorial Service will be held for the family on Wednesday at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth and Ridge Sts., Lewiston. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Pekin Volunteer Fire Co., 3024 Upper Mt.     navy blue with delicate pink accessories.
    She carried pink and white
    carnations.
    Miss June Reubens, sister of the
    bride and maid of honor, and Mr.
    Sterling Baker,, best man, were
    members of the wedding party. The
    wedding dinner and reception for
    the members of the Immediate families
    were given at Sisley's restaurant,
    Lockport
    After a trip to Washington, D. O,
    and Atlantic City, N. J., the couple
    will reside in Sanborn.

    Reubens, 72, formerly of West
    Street here, died today (Oct.
    18, 1972) in Restwell Nursing
    Home after a long illness.
    Born in Irondequoit, N.Y., he
    lived in Manchester- for a time
    before moving to Niagara Falls
    in 1922 and to Sanborn in 1931.
    In 1966, Mr. Reubens moved to
    Honeoye, N.Y. where he lived
    until 1971 when he moved to
    _Gasport.
    He retired in 1966 as yardmaster
    at the Lehigh Valley
    Railroad where he was employed
    for more than 50 years.
    He was a member of the
    Brotherhood of Railroad
    Trainmen and the Yardmasters
    Association.
    He is survived by two sons,
    Reven A. Rubens of Dover,
    Del. and Henry K. Rubens of
    Gasport; four daughters, Mrs.
    Roger (Lynne) Erck of Sanborn,
    Mrs. John (Joan) Hirshman
    of St. Petersburg, Fla.,
    Mrs. Anthony (Sandra)
    Scarfone of Niagara Falls and
    Mrs. George (Maureen
    Magliazzo of Bergholz.
    Also surviving are seven
    brothers, Edward, Lloyd,
    William, Robert, Raymond,
    Harold and Ernest Reubens,
    and two sisters, Mrs. Edith
    Turner and Mrs. Robert
    (Maydell) Amacher, all of New
    York State; 22 grandchildren
    and five great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at the Rhoney Funeral Home,
    5893 Hoover Road, on Friday at
    10 a.m. with the Rev. Frank
    Ruzza officiating. Burial will
    be in Honeoye Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the
    funeral home from 7 to 9 today
    and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
    Thursday.

    Woods, wife of the late Burt F.
    Woods, died on Tuesday. She is
    survived by two daughters. Mrs.
    Roy Tenbrook, of Kenmore, and
    Mrs. Raymond Olds, of Sanborn;
    five grandchildren and one great
    granddaughter and two sisters, Mrs.
    Peck, of Climax, Mich., and Mrs.
    Mlna Snippy, of Sanborn.
    Mrs. Woods was the daughter or
    th late Lewis and Elisabeth Grove
    Miller and was bom on July 31.
    1868. in Baer road, town of Cambria.
    After her marriage she lived
    In Lockport road until she and her
    husband retired from farming and
    went to Lockport to make their
    home. Mrs. Woods was a member
    of the First Presbyterian church of
    Lockport.
    The funeral will be held tomorrow
    at 2:30 pxn. at the home of her
    daughter, Mrs. Raymond Olds, In
    Upper Mountain road. The Rev.
    Frank N. Taft. of Sanborn Baptist
    church, will officiate. Interment
    will be in North Ridge cemetery.

    Joseph Reubens, 97, of
    Shortsville, f a t h e r of a
    Ransomville man, died i n
    Shortsville Monday (Feb. 16,
    1970).
    A native of Belgium, he had
    lived in this country since an
    early age and had resided in
    the Shortsville area most of his
    life. He was an employe of the
    Lehigh Valley Railroad for
    many years prior to retirement.
    Among his survivors are sons
    Harold Reubens of Ransomville
    and Henry Reubens, formerly
    of' Sanborn, now of Honeoye
    Falls. He also is survived by
    six other sons and two
    daughters.
    Funeral services will be held
    Thursday morning at Shortsville
    and burial will be in that community.

    A verdict of death from heart disease
    was rendered by Coroner J. V.
    Farruggta- today In the case of Frederick
    H. Bennett, of 1036 Fairfield
    avenue, who was stricken at Main
    street and Niagara avenue yesterday
    afternoon and died before he was admitted
    to Memorial hospital.
    Mr. Bennett, a native of Avon. N.
    Y.. had resided In Niagara Palls for
    about 25 years. Previous to seven
    vears ago he waa employed for 20
    years as a mechanic by the Lehigh
    Valley railroad. He is survived by his
    wife. Mrs. Clara I. Bennett: three
    sons, John, Ralph and Grant Ben-
    nett, all of this city; three daughters,
    Mrs. Edward York, of this city, Mrs.
    Henry Reubens, of Sanborn, and Mrs.
    Ross Cornell, of Clifton Springs, and
    a brother, Cyrus E. Bennett, of Buf-
    falo.
    Plans for the funeral were being
    completed today.
