William A. Josey, a previous resident of Niagara Falls, NY, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away December 18 2021 in Parker, CO after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 12, 1939 to Jesse E Josey & Elsie (Burgess) Josey.
Upon graduation from Tonawanda High School in 1957, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He retired from Norampac Industries in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Juanita (Halliday) Josey; children Diana (Steven) Phelan of Parker, CO, Brian Josey of DePeire, WI, Donna (John) Walsh of Altoona, PA; and grandchildren Eric Phelan of Parker, CO, Elisabeth (Brett) Johnson of Longmont, CO and Shania Phelan of Parker, CO; brothers Jesse E (Marion Jackson) Josey, Jack Josey, sister Norma (Marvin Camel) all of Tavares, FL and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother and father.
A memorial service will be held Monday June 13, 2022 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 915 Oneida Street, Lewiston, NY at 11:00AM. Burial will be at Riverdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association. 1

Elsie Viola (Burgess) Josey-Ferguson, age 92, of Tavares, FL, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in the Town of Lewiston on June 26, 1913, the daughter of the late William H. and Laura Belle [ Guinther ] Burgess, and raised in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. Elsie graduated from North Junior High School and later Niagara Falls High School in 1931. She was married on September 4, 1932 to Jesse E. Josey Sr. , Master of Niagara River Lodge 785, in 1952, he predeceased her on May 18, 1976.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #355 for over 50 years, and a member of the First Christian Church on Niagara Avenue in Niagara Falls since 1927 and her parents had her on The Cradle Roll in 1915. Also, she was an associate member of Union Congregational Church in Tavares, FL. She married Clyde H. Ferguson in November of 1977 and they were married for 21 years prior to his death on April 17, 1999.

Surviving are three sons, Jesse "Bud" E. [ Marion] Josey Jr., of Tavares, FL.; Jack L. Josey, of Deerfield Beach, FL; and William A [ Juanita] Josey, of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; daughter-in-law, VA Josey, of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY; a daughter, Norma L. Josey-Camel [ Marvin] of Tavares, FL; a sister Nolita "Fern" Harding, of Highland Ranch, CO; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother Norman W. Burgess.

The family will be present from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM, Friday, at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, NIAGARA FALLS, 1124 Ontario Avenue, where funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8th at 10:20 AM, with Rev. Jason Jones officiating. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY.

Mrs. Lucy L. Boeldt, 58, Ontario
street, Wilson, a former resident of
this city, died last evening at Mt.
St. Mary's hospital after an illness
of two months.
Born at Cambria, Mrs. Boeldt was
a resident of this city for 27 years
before moving to Wilson five years
ago.
Surviving are her husband, Louis
W. Boeldt; a daughter, Mrs. Wilfred
Halliday, Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Ida
Hildebrandt both of this city and
two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday at 2:45 p.m. at the Grid-
ley Funeral home and at 2 o'clock
at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church
where the Rev. Arthur A. Schmoyer,
D.D., will officiate. Interment will
be in Riverdale cemetery.

Last evening the home of Mr. and
Mrs. John F. Boeldt of No..1620 Lockport'
street was the. scene, of a very
pretty variety shower given in honor
of Miss Lucy.Koepke whose marriage
to their son. Louis Boeldt occurs next
Monday. A number of selections
were rendered on the piano by Miss
Jessie Boeldt and Prof. Spaulding. A
very bounteous supper was served after
which dancing was enjoyed by the
guests. Miss Koepke and Mr. Boeldt
were the recipients of a number of
very handsome gifts. About 75 friends
were present.
