JOSEPH B. SHOMBRS.
The last sad r i t e s were held over t he
remains of t h e l a t e Joseph Shomers- of
No. 502 N i a g a r a Street this morning
and the beautiful and impressive services
a t 9 o'clock a t St. Mary's Church
were largely attended by mourners,
fviends of the deceased and sorrowing
family.
The Rev. \N illiani >L McNab conducted
the services and following the
mass the remains were taken to St.
Mary's cemetery a n d ther laid to rest.
Deceased was an estimable young man
and had a great many friends In t he

man worked for over four years. Mr.
Shomers was but 31 y e a r ? of age and
is survived by a wife and otic daughter
a mother and father, three brothers,

and Mrs. Atbert HTTTonimel.
Tho bearers were Mes.'rs. Frank
Donovan, Edward Calahan, William
A Nolan, John Donohue and Michael
McKenna.

JOSEPH R. SHOMERS.
Joseph R. Shomers, one of the best
known young men of this city, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Shomers. died at 2
o'clock this morning at his home No,.
502 Niagara Street of consumption, after
a long illness.
For four years deceased had been in
the employ of the M R Butler Gro-
cery Company and for nearly a year
previous to that time he was with M.
B. Butler when in the grocery business
in tho Cluck building. Two
months agu he was obliged to give up
work nnd has since been declining. The
de-censed was 31 years of age and w;tp
born in Niagara Falls. lie Is survived
by a mother and father who live
at No. 727 Spruce Street, three brothers.
John P., Charles H., and William,
two sisters. Miss Catharine Shomers
nnd Mrs. Albert H. Rommel, nnd a wife
and one daughter. The funeral will
be observed at 9 o'clock on Thursday
morning from St. Mary's Church. The
and the Interment will be made In St
Mary's cemetery.
