    He is survived by two
    daughters, Mrs. Harry
    (Beverly) Dorn, Jr., of

    Mrs. Robert (Sandra)
    Malley of Buffalo; two
    sons, Jay (Brenda) Ziehm
    of Pursglove, W.
    Virginia and William
    Ziehm of Barker, NY;
    twelve grandchildren; a
    sister, Mrs. James
    (Olga) Henwood of St.
    Petersburg, Fla., a
    sister-in-law, Mrs. Ann

    nieces and nephews.

    family on Saturday morning at the
    home of the bride Miss Saxon
    Reese, daughter of Mr and Mrs.
    Alexander N. Reese, of McKoon

    avenue, was united in marriage to
    Mr. Arthur Ziehm, son of Mr. August
    Ziehm. of North Tonawanda,
    N. Y. The Rev. Sylvanus S. Davies,
    of St. Paul's M. E. church, officiated.
    The bride wore A blue chiffon
    crepe dress caught with blue velvet
    forget-me-nots at the waistline and
    neck and matching accessories. She
    wore a blue velvet tiara. Her bou-
    quet was of yellow roses.
    Miss Mary Fitzmorris of this
    city, as matron of honor, wore
    pink chiffon crepe, pink roses and
    matching pink accessories, with
    pink velvet bows for her hair.
    Mr. Snyder Bass, of this city,
    acted as best man.
    Autumn flowers were used as ef-
    fective decoration throughout the
    rooms.
    Immediately after the ceremony a
    reception was held at the bride's
    home, covers for 15 being laid.
    After a weekend trip to Olcott
    Beach, N.Y., Mr. and Mrs. Ziehm
    will reside in North Tonawanda, N.
    Y.
    Relatives and friends from out-
    of-town, were Mrs. Mathew Reese,
    of Buffalo, N.Y.; Mr. and Mrs.
    Frnak Reese, Wilson, N.Y.

    Wednesday morning (Dec. 1, 1954)
    at DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
    Mr. Ziehm was the father of Rudolph
    and Arthur of North Tona-
    wanda and Mrs. James Henwood
    of Niagara Falls; half brother of
    Gustav Werth of the Town of
    Wheatfield; grandfather of 10
    grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the
    Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver
    St. at Ward Rd., where services
    will be Friday at 2 p.m., the
    Rev. Charles Kriete officiating.
    Interment in Frieden Cemetery.

    August Ziehm, 81, Dies At DeGraff Hospital

    August Ziehm, 81, of 1207 Oliver St., father of Deputy Sheriff Rudolph Ziehm, died this morning at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Ziehm, Mr. Ziehm had retired a number of years ago after working most of his life for lumber companies in the Twin Cities. His wife, Augusta, died several years ago.

    Besides Deputy Sheriff Ziehm, he is survived by another son, Arthur, of North Tonawanda; a daughter. Mrs. James Henwood of Niagara Falls; a half-brother, Gustav Werth of the Town of Wheatfield: 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., the Rev. Charles F. Kriete officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery.

    Mrs. Auguste B, Ziehm, 50 years
    who died at her home, 49 Friedericka
    Street Saturday afternoon. The ser-
    vices were conducted by Rev. Theo-
    phil Twenty of the St. Peter's Ev-
    angelical church of which the deceased
    was a member. Mrs. Ziehm was born
    in Germany and resided in the Ton-
    awandas for the past 40 years. she is
    survived by a husband, August,

    August F. Poerschke
    August F. Poerschke, 68 years old, died at his home on the Ruie road last
    night after a lingering illness. The deceased was born in Germany and has
    lived in the Tonawandas during the last fifteen years. Besides his widow,
    three daughters and four sons survive. The funeral will be held from the
    late home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. August Herring
    officiating. Burial will be at Sawyers Creek.

    Mrs. Elizabeth Poerschke, 70 yrs. old. died Sunday night at the home of her daughter. Mrs . Gustav Kriedemann, Walck and Nash Rds, after a lingering illness. She was born in Germany. She had been a resident of of North Tonawanda for the past 30 years. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Kriedemann Mrs. August Ziehm and Mrs. Adolf Liebeck, four sons, Otto Braun, and Rudolph, William and August Poerschke, all of North Tonawanda, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Eichler, Ebling, Germany. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kriedemann home. Rev. Carl Frankenstein of the St. Matthews' church officiating. Burial will be in the St. Matthew Cemetery.
