    TONAWANDA - Mrs. Matie,
    lobien. 68. of 116 Fuller Ave..,
    died Monday (June 17. 1957) in
    DeGraff Memorial Hospital after
    a lengthy illness.
    Born in this city, Mrs. Lobien
    was a member of Salem Evangelical
    and Reform Church, the
    Women's Guild, Missionary Society,
    Home Department and the
    Dorcas Society.
    Surviving are her husband, Gus
    tave Lobien, a daughter. Mrs. Norman
    Garlapow, and a granddaughter,
    Lynda Garlapow, all of this
    city, and three brothers, Charles
    Andres, this city, and Fred and
    William Andres, Chicago.
    The Rev. Walter F. Hetzel will
    conduct the funeral service at 2
    p.m. Thursday at the Hamp
    -Funeral Home. Burial will be in
    White Chapel Memorial Park
    Cemetery.

    Matie married LEBIEN, Gustav E about 1911. Gustav (son of LEBIEN, William and Laura) was born about 1887 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; died on 14 Jun 1959 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    TONAWANDA, May 6.-John
    Andres, 84, died suddenly Saturday
    night at the home of his daughter,
    Mrs. Gust Lobien, 116 Fuller avenue.
    Mr. Andres was born In Germany.
    He had been a resident of
    Tonawanda for the last 55 years.
    Besides Mrs. Lobien, he Is survived
    by three sons, Charles, a member
    of the Tonawanda police department;
    Fred, town of Amherst, and
    William, Chicago, and eight grandchildren.
    The funeral will be held tomorrow
    afternoon at 2;30 o'clock at the Lobien
    residence. The Rev. Walter F.
    Hetzel will officiate and interment
    will be in Salem cemetery.
