"Al" Hudson, 91, of Charlton, MA and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, following a brief illness.He was born on September 25, 1918 in Niagara Falls, NY and was the son of the late Louis D. and Caroline (Mack) Hudson. He worked at the Tam Ceramics as a Senior Manager in Niagara Falls, for over 50 years, retiring in 1983. He was a graduate of the Missouri School of Mines, where he was a member of the Sigma Pi Epsilon fraternity. He was also a member of the Niagara River Masonic Lodge in Niagara Falls for 67 years. During World War II, he served with U.S. Navy as a member of the Sea Bees.He was the husband of Colette (Simard) Hudson, to whom he had been married to for 47 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Lysanne LaPierre and her husband, Dean of Andover; two grandchildren, Nicole and Cameron LaPierre; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Norm Hudson, Kathryn Eitel and Jane Hartsell. A memorial service was held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 1 :00 PM at the Overlook Masonic Home Chapel, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton. Burial will take place at a later date in Niagara Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home in Southbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans organization of one's choice. Mr. Hudson passed away December 14, 2009, in Southbridge, MA, after an unexpected illness.     Mrs. Katherhie Mack, widow of
    John E. Mack and one of the most j
    widely known residents of the north!
    end section of the city, died today at
    her home, 1661 Ontario avenue. She
    was 83 years old and had been ill
    only two weeks. Plans for the funeral
    have not been completed.
    Born In Wurten, Germany, Mrs.
    Mack came to Niagara Falls when
    she was 16 years old and had lived
    here ever since. She was held in
    the highest esteem among a wide
    circle of friends, she was a member
    of the Zlon Lutheran church for the
    past 67 years and was an active
    worker in numerous church affairs
    She was a member of the Ladles Aid
    society of the church and of Riverdae
    Rebekah Lodge. No. 195, I.O.O.P.
    Mrs. Mack is survived by three
    sons, Jacob, Charles and John Mack,
    all of this city; four daughters, Mrs.
    John Gassier, Mrs. Fred Winker and
    Mrs. Louis Hudson, of this city, and
    Mrs. Herman Quester. of Sanborn;
    21 grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren
