"Al" Hudson, 91, of Charlton, MA and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, following a brief illness.He was born on September 25, 1918 in Niagara Falls, NY and was the son of the late Louis D. and Caroline (Mack) Hudson. He worked at the Tam Ceramics as a Senior Manager in Niagara Falls, for over 50 years, retiring in 1983. He was a graduate of the Missouri School of Mines, where he was a member of the Sigma Pi Epsilon fraternity. He was also a member of the Niagara River Masonic Lodge in Niagara Falls for 67 years. During World War II, he served with U.S. Navy as a member of the Sea Bees.He was the husband of Colette (Simard) Hudson, to whom he had been married to for 47 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Lysanne LaPierre and her husband, Dean of Andover; two grandchildren, Nicole and Cameron LaPierre; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Norm Hudson, Kathryn Eitel and Jane Hartsell. A memorial service was held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 1 :00 PM at the Overlook Masonic Home Chapel, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton. Burial will take place at a later date in Niagara Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home in Southbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans organization of one's choice.     CHARLTON, MA — Colette M. (Simard) Hudson, 88, of Charlton, MA, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2011, at the Overlook Nursing Home in Charlton.

    She was the wife of Albrose J. (Al) Hudson, who died in 2009. They had been married for 47 years. She is survived by a daughter, Lysanne LaPierre and her husband, Dean, of Andover, MA; two grandchildren, Nicole and Cameron LaPierre, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of Raymond Simard of Boucherville, Quebec, and the late Guy Simard and Fernand Simard.

    She was born on October 8, 1922 in La Baie, Quebec, the daughter of the late Anne Marie (Gilbert) and Arsene Simard.

    She lived most of her youth in Sorel, Quebec. She was educated at the local convent and went on to study drama at the LaSalle Conservatory in Montreal. She moved to Niagara Falls, NY upon her marriage and spent the rest of her years there, until relocating to The Overlook Retirement Community in Charlton in 2006.

    A memorial service was held in Sorel, Quebec in February. Burial will take place in Niagara Falls at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home in Southbridge, MA. Donations in Colette's memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to your local Catholic Church.
