    Mr. and Mrs. Anthony A. Majka, North
    Tonawanda, announce the engagement of
    their daughter, Miss Rosalie Pearl Majka,
    to Richard J. Skurski, son of Mrs. John Skurski,
    Walnut Ave., and the late Mr. Skurski.
    Miss Majka is a graduate of Buffalo State
    Teachers College, department of home economics.
    She is a member of the teaching staff
    of Starpoint Central School.
    Mr. Skurski is a graduate of Bishop Duffy
    High School, attended the University of
    Buffalo and attends Erie County Technical
    Institute. A late summer wedding is planned.

    hospital after a brief ill-'

    A former resident of Ransomville.
    N. Y., Mr. Skurski came to
    Niagara Falls ten years ago.' He
    was employed by the New York
    Central railroad before entering the
    milk business, and was also formerly
    employed by the Wilson Carting
    ; company. He was a member of the
    boilermakers' and m a c h i n i s t s'
    brotherhoods.
    He is survived by his wife. Mra
    Helen Skurski; two children, Richard
    and Margaret; his parents, Mr. and
    Mrs. Michael Skurski, of Ransomvllle,
    N. Y.; three sisters. Mrs. Mary
    Bluta, of this city, and Frances and
    Lottie skurski, of Ransomville, and
    three brothers, Edward and Frank
    Skurski, of Ransomville, and Corporal
    Benny Skurski, in the South
    Pacific.
    The funeral will be held from the
    Tublnis funeral home at 9:30 a. m.
    tomorrow, with services at BL
    Stanislaus church at 10 a. m. Interment
    will be made In Holy Trinity

    Skurski, 57, of 1935 Welch Ave.,
    died Sunday (April 14, 1968).in
    Mount St. Mary's Hospital after
    a short illness.
    Mrs. Skurski was_ born in
    Freeland, Pa., and had resided
    in this city since childhood. She
    attended Holy Trinity School and
    was a graduate of Niagara Falls
    High School. she was also en-
    rolled in the evening division
    at Niagara University.
    Mrs. Skurski was employed as
    a secretary in the personnel
    department of the Carborundum
    Wheatfield plant for 23 years/
    Prior to that she was employed
    by Bell Aerosystems and Kolio-
    pinski Appliance Store.
    She was a member of the
    Tadeja Club of the Polish
    Women's Alliance, the Bishop
    Duffy Mothers' Guild. She
    was a former member of the
    Holy Trinity choir and the Echo
    Singing Society.
    Mrs. Skurski was the wife of
    the late John S. Skurski who
    died, in 1944.
    Surviving are a son, Richard
    J. Skurski, North Tonawanda,
    and a daughter, Mrs. -John
    (Margaret) Olejniczak, formerly
    of Lewiston, who resides in
    Oil City, Pa.
    Also surviving are two sisters:
    Mrs. John (Stella) Marvin and
    Mrs. Carl (Mary) Jarzab, both
    of this city and four grand-!
    children. I
    Funeral services will be held
    Wednesday at the Z a j a c
    Tuneral Home at 9:30 a.m. and
    at Holy Trinty R.C. Church at
    10 a.m. Burial will be in Holy
    Trinity Cemetery.
    Friends may call today 7 to 9
    p.nv and Tuesday 2 to 5 p.m.
    and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary
    will be recited Tuesday at 8
    p.m.

    The marriage of Miss Helen* C.
    Moniusako. daughter of Mrs. Camlile
    Moniuszko, to John Skurski. son of
    Mr and Mrs. Michael Skurakl of
    Ransomville, was solemnized on Sat-
    urday, April 21, at the Holy Trinity
    chruch, the Rev. Father Francis
    Wasik officiating. The bride's sister,
    Estelle, was the only attendant. Stan-
    ley Grzybowski, cousin of the bride,
    was the best man.
    During the mass the Holy Trinity
    church choir rendered Leonard's Mass
    in E flat. The offertorium Mrs. A.
    Czosnyka and Vande Hyla sang Ave
    Maria by Luigi.
    Folloring the ceremony a wedding
    breakfast was served at the Oak tea
    room to the bridal party and mem-
    bers of immediate family. Mr. and
    Mrs. John Skurski left on a trip to
    Washington, D.C.
    Pre-nupital affairs included a din-
    der and bridge at the Oak tea room
    by the Auction Bridge club; variety
    shower by the bride's sister, Mary
    Ann' kitchen shower for the bride's
    aunt, Mrs. E. Preskop; variety shower
    by Miss Bonnie Stamborski; lunch-
    eon and shower at the Oak tea room
    by Klub Tadeja and silver shower by
    the members of the Holy Trinity
    church choir.

    MICHAEL JOHN SKURSKI
    Michael John Skurski, 85, of
    Swann Road, Ransomville,
    died today (Sept. 28, 1971) at
    Mount St. Mary's Hospital,
    Lewiston, after a short illness.
    He was born in Poland and
    had lived here for 75 years.
    He is the grandfather of
    Acting City Parks Director
    William Siuta.
    Mr. Skurski was in the coal
    business for a year on 15th
    Street in Niagara Falls; in the
    restaurant business at 2701
    Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, for
    several years, and a dairy
    farmer on Swann Road for 51
    years.
    He was a member of
    Woodmen of the World Camp
    211; St. Jude's Society of St.
    Stanislaus Kostka Church and
    a 50-year member of the farm
    bureau.
    Mr. Skurski was the husband
    of the late Victoria who died in
    1970.
    Survivors include three sons,
    Benny of Niagara Falls;
    Edward and Frank of Ransomville;
    three daughters,
    Mrs. William (Mary) Siuta of
    Niagra Falls, Mrs. Alfred
    (Frances) Glemb of Ramsomville
    • and Miss Lottie
    Skurski of Ransomville; a
    brother in Poland; 11 grandchildren
    and 16 great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the
    LaBuda Funeral Home and at
    10 a.m. from St. Stanislaus
    Kostka Chirch.
    Burial will be in the family
    plot at Holy Triniy Cemetery.
    Recitation of Prayers
    Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
    The family will be present
    today from 7 to 9 pjm. and
    Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to
    9 p.m.
