    Notes:

    Carl H. Wegener, 74, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023 in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the son of the late James and Edith (Hanson) Wegener.
    Carl graduated LaSalle High School before joining the Navy and serving his country for 6 years aboard the submarine USS Robert E. Lee. During his service, he married the love of his life, Carol, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, where they first met. The two were married on August 14, 1971 and spent 51 years together as man and wife.
    After receiving an honorable discharge in 1974, Carl worked at Electric Boat in Groton, CT and attended Thames Valley Technical School in Norwich, CT. Being naturally good at math and engineering, he went on to work as an Electronics & Relay Technician for the NYS Power Authority for over 30 years. He was very involved in the Zion Lutheran church, as well as being Vice President of Local IBEW 2104 and Membership Secretary and longtime member of the LaSalle Sportsman’s Club.
    Carl was a huge fan of the Yankees and the Bills. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, coaching his children’s baseball team, and playing euchre. He was a devoted family man and was known by everyone who knew him as a kind and compassionate man.
    Carl is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Henderson) Wegener; his two children, Carl W. and Shauna Wegener; his beloved granddog Ace; his siblings, James (Ann) Wegener, Elaine (Ron) Fees, and Erwin (Cindy) Wegener, Sr; brother-in-law Robert Henderson and sister-in-law Cheryle (late Douglas) Henderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by parents-in-law, Dugald and Doris Henderson and sister-in-law, Janelle Wegener.
    Visitation will be held Friday, April 7, from 2 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Niagara Falls Memorial Park with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carl’s memory may be made to Niagara Hospice or Zion Lutheran Church.     Mr. Claude Wegener was the best

    At the home of the bride lovely

    rations for the small reception for
    friends.
    For traveling the bride wore a
    tan wool suit with powder blue
    topper and. white accessories.
    After a trip to the central part
    of the state the young couple left
    for Atlantic City, where the bride-
    groom .reported for reassignment.

    Doris M. Henderson, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 15, 2020 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Kinz) Smith.Doris attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On June 28, 1947, she married Dugald Henderson at Zion Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mr. Henderson predeceased her in 1994.  Doris was employed in the Tab Department at Moore Business Forms and she spoke of her experience in the workforce often and how proud she was of that job.   
    Doris enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, attending her grandchildren’s hockey games and other activities, and roller-skating with her husband in her younger years; She and Mr. Henderson loved spending time together and their bond was one that the family tried to model their own relationships after.
    Above all, she was an incredibly family oriented mother and grandmother, and cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and beloved great grandchildren. Doris, with her infectious smile and bubbly personality, embraced every moment that she had with her family and she made the people around her better.
    Doris is survived by her children, Carol (Carl H.) Wegener and Robert Henderson; daughter in law Cheryle Henderson, her grandchildren, Carl W. Wegener, Shauna Wegener, Michael Henderson, Jeffery (Alicia) Henderson, and Ryan Henderson; her great grandchildren, Vinny and Mariella Henderson, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband of 47 years, she was predeceased by her son, Douglas Henderson. 
    Private visitation, services and interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements by M.J.     Chester C. Wegener, who was
