    Mr. and Mrs. Frank F. Searles Jr., 8928 Rivershore
    Drive, announce the engagement of their
    daughter, Miss Betty Anne Searles, to Basil C.
    Stahlman Jr., son of Basil C. Stahlman Sr.,
    6289 South Whitman Drive, Town of Niagara,
    and the .late Mrs. Edith Stahlman.
    Miss Searles, a graduate of LaSalle Senior
    High School, is attending Kelley Business Institute
    and is employed by Searles Creamery Inc.
    Her. fiance, also a graduate of LaSalle Senior
    High School, is a junior at Michigan State
    University, East Lansing, Mich . where he is
    majoring in accounting.
    The wedding will be solemnized June 20, 1964

    MISS BETTY ANNE SEARLES wore a
    wedding gown of hand-clipped Chantilly
    lace with tiered ruffle back terminating
    into a chapel train Saturday (June 20,
    1964) when she was married to Basil C.
    Stahlman Jr., 643 Fourth St., the bridegroom
    is the son of Basil C. Stahlman Sr.,
    6289 S. Witham Drive, and. the late Mrs.
    Stahlman.
    The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
    F. Searles Jr., 8928 Rivershore Drive, chose
    a Sabrina neckline beaded with seed pearls
    and long tapered lace sleeves for her wedding.

    FOR THE WALK down the aisle of the
    First Presbyterian Church with her father,
    she carried a colonial bouquet of red roses.
    Her bouffant veil of French imported silk
    illusion, was attached to a crown of pearls
    and crystals.
    Rev. John B. Toay officiated at the
    noon, double-ring ceremony.
    Maid of honor was Miss Joni Hotchkiss,
    in floor length sheath of royal blue with
    overskirt and Dior bow with butterfly
    veil. Her bouquet was of pink carnations.
    Miss Maureen Neville and Miss Beverly
    Marshall, bridesmaids, and Miss Pamela
    Mayne, flower girl, were similarly attired
    in light blue. Pink carnations were their
    flowers.

    THOMAS PRICE was best man. Serving
    as ushers were Bernard Stahlman, brother
    of. the bridegroom, and Frank F. Searles
    III, the brides brother.
    The LaSalle Yacht Club was the setting
    • for an afternoon reception.
    The newlyweds will reside at 634 Fourth
    St. upon their return from a wedding trip
    tb the Pocono Mountains.
    In January, they will return to the
    campus of Michigan State University, East
    Lansing.
