    Notes:

    Donna "Joy" (nee Marshall) Borks, 78, of Youngstown, NY, entered into rest, peacefully, on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY, following a brief illness. Born on January 31, 1932 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Myrtle (Esslie) Marshall. On June 6, 1953, Donna married Robert L. Borks. He predeceased her on May 19, 2008. Mrs. Borks attended schools in Buffalo and graduated from Lafayette High School. Donna worked for the former Courier-Express until her marriage to Robert in 1953. In 1959, she moved to Youngstown, NY with her family. For 30 years, Mrs. Borks worked as a Teacher's Aide for the Lewiston-Porter School District, until her retirement in 1995. Donna served as a volunteer, each week on Wednesday, for the American Red Cross at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of Niagara Frontier Bible Church. Mrs. Borks is survived by three children, Laurie J. (Jeffrey) Rusk of Niagara Falls, NY, Patti I. (Jeffrey) Saunders of Conover, NC and James R. Borks of Youngstown, NY; five grandchildren, Amy (Tim) Kaczmarzyk and Hope and Adam Rusk, all of Niagara Falls, NY, and Jon Saunders and Melinda (Bruce) Hedrick, both of North Carolina; and one great-granddaughter, Lillie Hedrick. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 PM and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, March 2nd at 1:00 PM in Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, Lewiston, NY, with Rev. Billy Crone officiating. Private interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, Lewiston, NY 14092.     Making their home at 2255 Forest
    Ave., Niagara Falls, are Mr. and Mrs,
    Robert L. Borks, who have returned
    from a honeymoon stay at Ft Lauderdale,
    Fla. The bride is the former
    Miss Donna Joy Marshall, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Marshall.
    of Auburn Ave., and the bridegroom
    is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Borks,
    of Cleveland Ave., Niagara Falls.
    The couple was married Saturday,
    June 6, at the Lafayette Avenue
    Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andrew
    Davison officiating. The bride's gown
    was of princess styled white Chantilly
    lace over satin and a coronation
    gown of seed pearls and sequins held
    a triple tier veil of illusion. She
    carried a cascade of white carnations
    and ivy.
    The attendants in white tulle
    ballerina gowns with blue, lilac, yellow
    and green velvet trim, respectively,
    were Mrs. Lome Rusk, matron of
    honor, and the Misses Maisie Pringle
    Mary Gorman and Barbara Glover,
    bridesmaids. Matching velvet trimmed
    dieir white bonnets and they carried
    baskets of spring flowers.
    Mr. Rusk was best man and ushers
    were James Allen and John Bjnarow.
    A reception was held at Hotel
    Touraine. For traveling, the new Mrs.
    Borks chose a powder blue suit with
    white accessories and an orchid corsage.

    A quiet, but pretty wedding was solemnized
    on Monday, September 2 at
    9 o'clock when Miss Josephine Deters
    became the bride of Leo Borks. Rev.
    Father Olynn performed the ceremony.
    The bride was attractively gowned
    in a royal blue crepe ensemble with
    hat and shoes to match. She carried
    an arm bouquet of yellow tea roses
    and baby's breath tied with tulle.
    The bridesmaid. Miss Eleanor Kay, wore
    a frock of Independence blue chiffon
    and velvet with hat and shoes to
    match. She carried an arm bouquet of
    sweetheart roses tied with pink tulle.
    Emmett Deters, brother of the bride
    attended the groom.
    A reception was held at the bride's
    home, for the immediate families. After
    two months trip to California. Mr.
    and Mrs. Borks will make their home
    In Cleveland avenue.
