    He was predeceased by : his brothers, Jim, Alwin, Erwin, Earl, Mark, Richard and Virgil. He is survived by : his wife Dianne Stenzel; his daughters, Corinne Maday (Ralph) of South Carolina, Brigette Grawe (James) of North Tonawanda and Donna Moderacki (Duane) of North Tonawanda; his grandchildren, Adam, James, Jennifer, Jamie, Jozef and Brett; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Addison, Kendal, Carter, Ryan, Ella, Samuel, Brigette, Sophia, Leah and Allie; his siblings, Pete Buchholz (Liz) of Wellsville, Jane Kernan (Archie) of Lindley and Joyce Arbogast (Larry) of Bolivar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    Burial will take place in the Stannards Cemetery and in lieu of flowers
     memorials in Oscar's name may be made to your local SPCA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26th 2019 at 1:00 PM and from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home (34 W State St, Wellsville, NY).

    Dianne C. Buchholz, 84,  formerly of Hallsport Road passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Northgate Health Care in North Tonawanda, N.Y.  She was born on November 9, 1938 in Lockport, NY, the daughter of the late Rueben and Hilda (Schimschack) Stenzel. On June 7, 1958 in Bergholz she married hee husband of sixty-one years, Oscar L. Buchholz, who predeceased her on September 21, 2019.
    She was raised in Bergholz, NY in Niagara County. She also formerly resided in Lockport and North Tonawanda. She moved to the Wellsville area in 1983. During her early years, Dianne was a waitress for her Aunt and Uncle.  She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family.
    She is survived by: three daughters, Corinne (Ralph) Maday of SC, Brigette (James) Grawe of North Tonawanda, and Donna (Duane) Moderacki of North Tonawanda; six grandchildren, Adam, James, Jennifer, Jamie, Jozef, and Brett; twelve great-grandchildren, Olivia, Addison, Kendal, Carter, Ryan, Ella, Samuel, Brigette, Sophia, Leah, Allie, and William; one brother, Douglas (Gayle) Stenzel of FL; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, and husband, she was predeceased by: one brother, Donald Stenzel.
    Friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in
    Wellsville (34 West State Street) from 11 to 1pm. Her funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the
    funeral home, with subsequent burial in Stannards Cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Reuben A. Stenzel, 53, of no permanent address, who was arrested at 9 p.m. Thursday on a disorderly conduct charge, was found hanged on
    the door of his cell at police headquarters. The body was found at 2 a.m. today (Nov. 2, 1962) with a blanket twisted around the neck by Lt. Charles Clerk. Coroner Dr. John C. Kinzley pronounced Stenzel dead. No death certificate was issued at press time.
    Stenzel was arrested, police said, for causing a disturbance at his former rooming house, 16 Allen St. Surviving are two sons, Donald Stenzel, Tonawanda, and Douglas Stenzel, stationed in Japan with the U.S. Army; a daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Diane) Buchholz, Wheatfield; four sisters, Mrs. John Bross, this city, Mrs. Eleanora Mellenthine, Mrs. Irvin Stoelting and Mrs. Arthur Stoelting, all of Wheatfield; two brothers, Wilbert Stenzel, Tonawanda, Carl Stenzel, Wheatfield; and six grandchildren. A service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fretthold Funeral Home. Burial was being arranged.

    Hilda E. Stenzel, 88, who was an assembly-line worker for the Carborundum Co. Coated Abrasives Division for 23 years, died Saturday (Sept. 9, 2000) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness.
    The former Hilda Schimschack, a native of Wheatfield, retired from Carborundum in 1974.
    She moved to Wheatfield Towers 12 years ago from Bergholz.
    Mrs. Stenzel was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz.
    Her husband, Reuben, died in 1962.
    Survivors include a son, Douglas of Scotland; a daughter, Dianne Buchholz of Wellsville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Luther Street, Bergholz. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz

    St. Johnsburg, Dies
    NORTH TONAWANDA, Nov. 6—
    Charles A. Stenzel. 76. a lifelong
    resident of St. Johnsburz and and
    emplovc of the Buffalo Bolt company
    for the past 40 years, died sud-
    denly yesterday from a heart attack
    while at his place of employment.
    He retired as an employee of the
    company just before the war broke
    out but was called back as a guard
    at the Oliver street plant when the
    United States broke with Japan and
    Germany.
    Mr. Stenzel was a member of the
    St. John's Lutheran church. For
    more than 20 years he had served
    the church as an elder. He was also
    a member of the St. Johnsburg fire
    company.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary
    Perslien Stenzel; three sons, Wil-
    bert Stenzel of tonawanda, and
    Carl and Reuben Stenzel, of the
    Town of Wheatfield four daugh-
    ters, Mrs. Eleanora Mellenthine, Mrs.
    Erwin Stoelting and Mrs. Arthur
    Stoelting of the Town of Wheat-
    field and Mrs. Dorothea Ellman
    of the town of Tonawanda; 17
    grandchildren and a brother, Her-
    man Stenzel, of Lockport.
    Funeral services will be held Fri-
    day afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
    residence and at 2:30 at St. John's
    church. Rev. Walter Themecke will
    officiate and burial will be in St.
    John's cemetery.

    Albert F. Schimschack, 32 years old, a well known resident of Bergholtz,
    died at his home late Saturday afternoon as the effects of typhoid fever.
    The deceased is survived by his widow and three children, his mother, Mrs.
    Albert Schimschack and five brothers, Herman, Ferdinand, Frederick, Otto and
    August Schimschack. The funeral will be held from the late home at
    Bergholtz at 2 o'clock and a half hour later from the German Lutheran Church
    at Bergholtz. Burial will be at Bergholtz

    Mrs. Emma Schimschack, 65, wife of Herman Schimschack of Washington street,
    Bergholtz, died yesterday morning in the Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls,
    after a short illness. She was born in the town of Wheatfield and had
    resided there all her life. Besides her husband she leaves three daughters,
    Mrs. Edward Moll of St. Johnsburg, Mrs. Wilbert Wolanske of Bergholtz and
    Mrs. Hilda Stenzel of St. Johnsburg; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph Hardy of
    Getzville and Mrs. William Bradford of Ming Junction, O.; two sons, Edward
    of North Tonawanda and Clarence Wolf of St. Johnsburg; eight grandchildren,
    a sister, August Schimschack of Bergholtz, and two brothers, William Voelker
    of Bergholtz and Philip Schimschack of North Tonawanda. Rites will be
    conducted Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wolanske at
    Niagara road and Falls boulevard, at 2 o'clock and from the St. James church
    at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate and burial will be in
    St. James cemetery.
