    MARJORIE B. WITKOP, age 101 of Lockport, NY, formally of Pekin, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on April 26, 2023 at the Elderwood at Lockport facility. Born March 5, 1922 in the Town of Cambria, NY; the the daughter of the late Floyd and Mabel (Luckman) Smith. A life long member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, in Pekin, she sold Avon products for over fifty years, until 1992. Marjorie enjoyed the quality time she spent with her family and grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Erwin H. Witkop who preceded her on December 13, 1988.Survivors include three children, Linda (late Gerald) Beutel, John (Roxann) Witkop, and Gail Scott; nine grandchildren, Bobby Beutel, Brenda (David) Campbell, Sherri (Guy) Samanka, Denise (Matt) Fetterhoff, Shawna (Carl) Taylor, Daniel (Dana) Wiegand, Dean (Paige) Wiegand, Kimberly (Bob) Ratajczak, and Gregory (Marybeth) Witkop; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.She was also preceded in death by two children, Daniel Witkop, and Diane (Todd) Wiegand; and four sisters, Mary Tall, Blance Wakefield, Edna DiVincenzo, and Dorothy Salmons.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Monday - May 1 from 4-7 p.m. Services will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m., with the Rev. Kurt Schultz, officiating. Interment will take place in St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice, or the Niagara County SPCA.

    NIAGARA FALLS — Pearl A. (Dachton) Hymiak, age 85, of Wheatfield, entered into rest December 22, 2010, while at ElderWood Health Care at Crestwood, with her loving family by her side, after a lengthy illness. Born January 12, 1925 to the late Michael and Jennie (Wozniak) Dachton. She was united in marriage to Marion Hymiak on February 6, 1943. He entered into rest April 21, 2002. Pearl enjoyed making crafts, reading and spending quality time with her family.

    Survivors include four children, James (Bea) Hymiak of Youngstown, Sharon George of Wilson, Roxann (John) Witkop and Brian (Cindy) Hymiak both of Lockport; eight grandchildren, Jim (Chrissy) Hymiak, Cheryl (Bryan) McEvoy, Scott (Eva) George, Shawn (Courtney) George, Kimberly (Bob) Ratajczak, Gregory (Marybeth) Witkop, Michael Hymiak and Beth Hymiak; nine great-grandchildren, Matt, Austin, Jared, Zachary, Greenley, Madison, Alexis, Mark and Dylan; a sister-in-law, Freda Hymiak; and an aunt, Louise Lipa. She was also predeceased by a brother, Carl Dachton; and a sister, Helen Dyrda.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 5 - 8 PM, with services following visitation at 8 PM. Interment will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park.

    SANBORN - Benjamin A. Witkop, 71, of 3045 Upper Mountain Road, this community, died Thursday (June 11, 1964) in Mount View Hospital, Lockport, after a long illness. Born in the Town of Cambria, March 17, 1893, the son of Henry and Augusta Grossman Witkop, he lived all his life on the farm where he was born until the death of his wife, Veronica Gombert Witkop, two years ago. Since that time he made his home with his children. He was employed by the State Highway Department for 20 years and retired eight years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Philip Martin and Mrs. William Strothman. both of this community; six sons, Wilbert, Robert, Norman and Kenneth Witkop, this community. Erwin Witkop, Niagara Falls, and James Witkop, North Tonawanda, two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Stoelting and Mrs, Lydia Eggert and a brother George Witkop, all of North Tonawanda; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home,Hoover Road, this community, where services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Sunday by Rev. Enno Schmoock. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery.     PEKIN - Mrs. Veronica Alma Witkop, 67, of Upper Mountain Road, died today (March 9, 1962) at Mt. View Hospital, Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, Aug. 8, 1895, Mrs. Witkop was a daughter of Ferdinand and Bertha Gombert. She lived in this area for 50 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. Surviving are her husband, Benjamin A. Witkop; two daughters, Mrs. Philip (Evelyn) Maerten and Mrs. William (Edith) Strothmann, both of Sanborn; six sons, Wilbert, Erwin, Norman, Robert and Kenneth Witkop all of Sanborn,and James Witkop, North Tonawanda; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Mielke, Sanborn, and Mrs. Edward Moll, St. Johnsburg; 14 grandchildren and one-great-grandchild.     A delightful afternoon and evening
    was spent at the home of Mr. and
    Mrs. Arthur Gombert of Niagara
    street. Sunday, when they entertained
    for Mrs. Wilhelmina Schlmschack the
    occasion being her 84th birthday and
    also for Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wittkopp
    of Pekin. it being their wedding anniversary-
    Supper was served at 6 o'clock to
    20 guests. The table was centered
    with a birthday and a wedding cake,
    handsomely decorated. During the
    evening cards and music were enjoyed.
    Ben Wittkopp acted as toastmaster.
    Many pretty and useful gifts
    were presented to Mrs. Schlmschack.
    Out-of-town guests were present.
