ELLA STRASSBURG
NORTH TONAWANDA -
Mrs. Ella M. (Werth)
Strassburg. 77, of 108 Linwood
Ave., died unexpectedly
Tuesday (Oct. 24, 1972) at
DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
A life long resident of this
city, she was a member of St.
Mark's Lutheran Church, the
Ladies Guild, Altar Guild, and
the Valpariso Guild of the
church.
She is survived by her
husband Jessie F. Strassburg;
three sons, Norman K.
Strassburg of Essex Junction,
Vt., and LaVerne and Robert
Strassburg, both of this city; a
brother, Gustav Werth of this
city; 10 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St.
Mark's Lutheran Church with
the Rev. Edward C. Gohner
officiating. Burial will be in St.
Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. today and
Thursday at the Fretthold
Funeral Home.

NORTH TONAWANDA — Rites
will be held tomorrow afternoon for
Gustave F. Werth, Sr., 79, who died
Tuesday at his home, 103 Llnwood
avenue. Services will be held at the
residence at 2 o'clock and at the St.
Mark's Evangelical Lutheran
church. In Washington street, at 2:30
o'clock. The Rev. Paul Fretthold
will conduct the services and Interment
will be in Elmlawn.
Mr. Werth was born In Germany.
For the last 53 years he had resided
in North Tonawanda. He was a
member of the St. Mark's church for
many years.
He is survived by his wife, Wilhelmlna;
three sons, J. Theodore,
superintendent of public works in
North Tonawanda, Edward A. and
Gustav F. Jr.; two daughters, Mrs.
William Stoeckel and Mrs. Jesse
Strassberg, and nine grandchildren,
all of North Tonawanda

Gustav married GILLERT, Wilhelmina Auguste Maria on 6 Jun 1886 in Bergholtz, Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. N O R T H TONAWANDA - Mrs
Wllhelmlna A. Werth, 85, of 108
Llnwood avenue, died last evening
at her home. She was born In Ger-
many and had resided here the last 58 years. She was a charter member
of St. Mark's Lutheran church In
Oliver street and an active member
of the Ladles' Aid society.
Surviving are two daughters. Mrs.

The funeral will be held Saturday

Mr- and Mrs. Gust Werth of 105
LAnwood avenue will celebrate their
golden wedding at the home of their
daughter, Mrs. William Stoeckel. 101
Linwood avenue, on Saturday of this
week. Born In Germany the couple
came to America 51 years ago and
were married a year later, the ceremony
being performed at Bergholtz.
They have three sons, Theodore H..
superintendent of public works in
North Tonawanda; Edward A. and
Oust Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse
Strassburg and Mrs. Stoeckel, and
nine grandchildren, all residents of
this city.
