    ACTIVE CHURCH WORKER DIES AT SERVICES
    NORTH TONAWANDA - Benjamin G. Sattelberg, 54, of 100 Old Niagara Falls Boulevard, died unexpectedly Sunday evening (April 29, 1962) after suffering a heart attack at St. Martin Lutheran Church. A lifelong resident of this city, Mr. Sattelberg was employed for the last 23 years as a sales representative for the Block Radio and Television Co. He was a member of St. Martin Church and of its brotherhood, of which he was a past officer. He served as organist for the church for many years and was assistant organist at his death. Mr. Sattelberg also was a former teacher in the church Sunday school and was chairman of the church stewardship committee and a member of its building committee. In 1954, he was elected a member of the stewardship committee of the Eastern District, American Lutheran Church, and served for two terms. He was a member of the Lions Club of the Tonawandas. Surviving are his widow, Adelaide E. Thiele Sattelberg; a son, Ronald E. Sattelberg; a grandson, Jonathan Sattelberg, both of Webster; and his stepmother, Mrs. Ella Sattelberg, this city. Friends may call at the Hamp Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Luther L. Knauff, pastor of St. Martin Church. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.

    Oberholtzer and the late Frederick Hintz; she is survived by one son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-children, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; also surviving cousins and dear friends. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME INC. 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19 at 11 AM. Interment White Chapel Cemetery.

    Wurlitzer Man Dies At North Tonawanda
    NORTH TONAWANDA, Dec. 23 - Louis Sattelberg, 66, a maintenance man at the Rudolph Wurlitzer company plant for several years, died yesterday in DeGraff Memorial hospital. He lived at 100 Old Falls boulevard. A lifelong resident of the city, he was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran church, and an exempt member of the Rescue Fire company. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor; a son, Benjamin G., North Tonawanda, and a sister, Miss Alma Sattelberg, Buffalo. Services will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the Hamp Funeral home, 37 Adam street, Tonawanda. Burial will be In White Chapel Memorial park.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Robert W. Thiele, 80, of 100 Old Falls Blvd., died unexpectedly this morning (Aug. 23, 1961) in his home. He was a life long resident of this city and a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church. He was formerly employed by the Cramer Hardware Co. as a clerk for 49 years retiring in 1951. He was the husband of the late Apolonia Belling Thiele. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Benjamin G. Sattelberg, this city; two brothers, Adolph Thiele and William G. Thiele, Lockport; a sister, Mrs. Lenore Johnson, this city. Also surviving is a grandson of West Webster, N.Y. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday by Rev. Theophilus Berner in the Wattengel Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.

    Life Long Resident, North Tonawanda , Dies
    NORTH TONAWANDA. Nov. 21 - A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Apolonla Thlele, 67, of 182 Payne avenue, died Saturday at DeGraff Memorial hospital. Services were held at 2:30 pm. today. from the Hamp Funeral home, 37 Adam street, the Rev. Theophilus Berner officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memorial park. Mrs. Thiele was a member of St. Martin's Luther church. Survivors include her husband, Robert W.; a daughter, Mrs. Benjamin Sattelberg. North Tonawanda: a son, Ervin Thiele, North Tonawanda; three sisters, Mrs. Adolph Thlele. Mrs. Louis Sattelberg and Mrs. Walter Denef; three brothers, John Billings, Town of Pendleton, and Carl and George Billings, of the Tonawandas.

    Mrs. Robert Thiele of Paynes avenue
    narrowly escaped drowning in the Tonawanda
    Creek at Martinsville shortly
    before noon today. She was rescued
    with great difficulty by Casper Dauman
    of Martinsville.
    Mrs. Thiele went to Martinsville by
    trolley this morning and attempted to
    walk across the creek to the home of
    her father, Charles Belling, on the opposite
    side of the stream. She had
    reached the middle of the creek when
    the ice broke and she was precipitated
    into the water.
    Several times Mrs. Thiele attempted
    to climb upon the ice, 'but each
    time the ice broke and she fell back into
    the water. Finally almost overcome
    from her efforts and immersions the
    woman cried for help. Dauman was the
    first to arrive on the scene. He approached
    within a few yards of the woman
    and then extended a pole to her,
    Mrs. Thiele clung to the pole and was
    pulled onto solid ice. She was assisted
    to the home of Mrs. J. Grosskupf of
    Martinsville and provided with dry clothing
    and stimulants.
    Mrs. Thiele is a bride of a few days.
    Her husband is employed at the Knapp-
    Cramer Hardware Company's store in
    Webster street.
