    employed with Gilman Paper Co.,
    Gilman, VT.
    She is survived by her husband.

    Funeral services will be held Tues
    day at 10.30 a.m. from the Dain
    Cullman Funeral Home.
    Burial will be in Peck Cemetery.

    William A. Strassburg, 85, a carpenter, farmer and plumber, died in his Randall Road home Friday (Oct. 25, 1996) under the care of Niagara Hospice.
    Born in Wheatfield, Strassburg had lived on Randall Road since his marriage to the former Ethel Schultz in 1938. For many years, Strassburg was a self-employed carpenter and builder. He also was a vegetable farmer for about 15 years, selling produce at the farmers market in Buffalo.
    In 1967, he joined the local staff of the state Parks and Recreation Department as a plumber, retiring after 10 years.
    Strassburg was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, Cambria, and a former member of the Wilson Lions Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
    Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Timothy of Wilson and Robert of Ashland, Ky.; a daughter, Karen J. Carr of Oswego; two sisters, Irene Willert and Ida Hill of Buffalo; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Road, Cambria. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery

    Ethel L. Strassburg, a former school bus driver from Dorwood Park, died Sunday (March 21, 2004) in Newfane Intercommunity Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was 87.
    Born in Wilson, she lived her entire life in the area and was a 1935 graduate of Wilson High School.
    She and her husband worked on the family farm, selling their produce at Buffalo's Clinton-Bailey market. She also worked as a school bus driver for Ransomville Bus Lines for 14 years, retiring in 1981.
    Mrs. Strassburg was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge and its Ladies Aid Society.
    She married William A. Strassburg in 1938. He died in 1996.
    Survivors include two sons, Robert F. of Ashland, Ky., and Timothy K. of Wilson; a daughter, Karen J. Carr of Oswego; three sisters, Dorothy Schultz and Ruth Wickham, both of Ransomville, and Gladys Keicher of Cowlesville; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Services were held today in St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, Cambria. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

    RANSOMVILLE, Aug 19 - A pret-
    ty mid-summer wedding took place
    Wednesday afternoon at St. Peter's
    Lutheran church North Ridge, when
    Miss Ethel Schultz, daughter of Mr.
    and mrs. Fred c. Schultz, of the
    Randall road, became the bride of
    William Strassburg, son of William
    Strassburg of Barker.
    The church was beautifully deco-
    rated in gladioli and palms as Mrs.
    leonard Borget, at the organ, played
    Lohengrin's wedding march. Pre-
    ceded by little Miss Marlene
    Schultz, the flower girl, the bride
    entered the church on the arm of
    her father and proceeded down the
    aisle followed by the maid-of-honor,
    Miss Lucy Strassburg, sister of the
    groom, and Miss Leona Donner.
    The groom's attendant was Gor-
    don Hausmann, of Wilson. the Rev.
    Carl Oldash, pastor of the church,
    performed the ceremony. The Misses
    Helen Seefeldt, Marjorie Schultz
    and Marion Lindhurst sand "I Love
    You Only" and "Perfect Love." The
    bridal party left the church to the
    strains of Mendelssohn's wedding
    march. The ushers were Harold
    Wilkins and Ralph Seefeldt.
    The bride was lovely in a white
    satin gown with long sleeves and
    long tulle veil with a coronet of
    pearls. She carried a bouquet of
    white roses and baby's breath. The
    maid of honor wore an ensemble
    of yellow organdie with green accessories
    and carried a bouquet of
    mtxed roses. Mtss Ida Strassburg. a
    bridesmaid, wore pMnk marquesette
    with rose accessories and carried a
    bouquet of mixed roses. Miss Leona
    Donner wore a gown of light blue
    marquessette with pink accessories.
    She also carried a bouquet ef mixed
    roses. The flower girl, little Miss
    Schultz, wore pink organdie with a
    blue ribbon around the head and
    reaching down the back^The mother
    of the bride and Mrs. Hanna- the
    grandmother, wore gowns of black
    crepe and corsages of roses.
    Following the ceremony a recep-
    tlon and chicken dinner was h e l d
    at the home of the bride, to which
    110 were invited. Following the reception
    the young couple left on a
    short honeymoon. Upon their return
    they will be at home in North
    Ridge.
    Guests were present from Warsaw,
    Barker, Buffalo, Ransomville,
    Wilson. Lokport. Gardenvllle. Lewiston,
    North Tonawanda, Niagara
    Falls and Rochester.
    The bride was the guest of honor
    at a number of prenuptlal affairs,
    among which were a crystal shower
    given by Mrs. Elwood SchulU. the
    Sunday school teachers' gift was a
    handsome lamp: a linen shower, given
    by Mrs. William Gcrtr. and Mrs.
    Clifford Dennlm: a variety shower,
    by mrs. August Hausman; a black,
    white and red kitchen shower, by
    Mrs. Carl Hausman, Mrs. Sara Bur-
    master and Mrs. Dederich Burmas-
    ter; a variety shower, by Mrs. Har-
    old Gotts; a bedroom shower, by
    Miss Leona Donner, and a personal
    shower, given by Mrs. Elmer See-
    feldt.

He was born in Wheatfield and had lived in the Town of Wilson for the last nine years. His wife, the former Emma Pankow, died in 1926, He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Regina) Gotts, Cambria. Mrs. Duane (Lucy) Honick, Barker, Mrs. Harold (Irene) Willert, Buffalo, Miss Loretta and Miss Ida Strassburg both of Buffalo; a son. William H. Strassburg Jr., Town of Wilson; 7 grand children and 2 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hardison Funeral Home, South Lake Street, Ransomville. The Rev. Carl W. Oldach, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, North Ridge, will officiate. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.

    Mrs. Emma Strassburg, 44 years old, wife of William G. Strassburg, died Saturday afternoon at her home, 61 Jackson avenue, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Strassburg was born in the town of Wheatfield and lived at St. Johnsburg all her life until removing to North Tonawanda a week ago.
    Besides her husband, Mrs. Strassburg is survived by five daughters, the Misses Regina, Loretta, Irene, Lucy and Ida Strassburg, one son, William G. Strassburg, Jr.; five sisters, Mrs. Frank Sasse, Buffalo, Mrs. Edward Doebler, North Ridge; Mrs. W. Heidenfeldt, Mrs. Albert Warblow, and Mrs. Henry Hardy of North Tonawanda and two brothers, William Pankow and Arthur Piper, North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late residence and at 2:45 o'clock at the St. John's church, St. Johnsburg, Rev. Walter Thiemecke officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's cemetery.
