    A very pretty but quiet wedding was
    solemnized Saturday evening. November
    23, when Jeannette Irere Phillips,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin
    W. Phillips, of Stephenson avenue,
    became the bride of Paul Clifton Mc-
    Alee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank L.
    McAlee, of Sixty-eighth street. The
    ceremony was performed at the
    rectory of the St. John de La Salle
    church, the Rev. Father Doylfr officiating
    The bride was becomingly gowned
    in a lovely dress of green matalasse
    crepe, flecked with metal. It was
    made on long lines, with a matching
    jacket. Her accessories were green
    and she carried an a rm bouquet of
    white roseo and baby's breath, tied
    with a silver ribbon.
    Mrs. Charles L. Krell. sister of the
    bride, was the matron of honor and
    wore a floor-length gown of rust
    matalasse crepe, made on long lines,
    with a jacket and with accessories to
    match. She wos a corsage of Talisman
    roses.
    Mrs. William unston, who acted as
    bridesmaid, wore a royal blue matalasse
    crepe gown, floor length, with
    jacket and accessories to match. She
    also wore a corsage of Talisman roses.
    The groom was attended by his
    brother. Kenneth McAlee.
    After the wedding, a reception was
    held at the home of Uie bride's parents.
    The bride's table was laid for
    ten. It was decorated in white, centered
    with a large three-tiered, wedding
    cake, flanked by white candles
    in crystal candelabra.

    Mrs. Lydia A. Phillips, 69, of 5628 Stephenson Ave., died today (Jan. 25, 1960) at her home after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, she had lived in the Niagara Falls area for the last 65 years in the LaSalle section and the former Village of LaSalle. She is survived by her husband, Franklin W. Phillips; seven daughters, Mrs. Charles Krell, Mrs. Paul McAlee, Mrs. Timothy Moriarty, Mrs. James Robins, Mrs. Grace Sabin and Mrs. Robert Arnold, this city, and Mrs. Ernest Krutinger, Kenmore; three sons, David W. Phillips, Ransomville, Edgar H. and Franklin W. Phillips, this city; one sister, Mrs. Edward Gath, North Tonawanda, and five brothers, Albert, Walter; Harold, George and Benjamin Strassburg, all of this city. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Lane Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Alan J. Perrine officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Mrs. Lydla Augusta Strasburg, 77
    years old, wife of Henry E, Strasburg
    and a lifelong resident of this city,
    died at her home, 1119 Eighty-ninth
    street, last night, after an illness of
    six months. Funeral services will be
    held from the family residence at 2
    p. m. Wednesday and from the Zlon
    Lutheran church, Cayuga drive, at
    2:30 p. m., with the Rev. George
    Hoyer oflfclating. Interment will be
    In St. Matthew's cemetery in Martinsville,
    N. Y,
    Surviving her. besides her husband,
    are six sons and three daughters. Edward
    C, George K., Albert F.. Walter
    E., Harold S. Benjamlng Strasburg,
    Mrs. Albert A. Holland and Mrs. Frank
    Phillips, all of this city, and Mrs, Edward
    Gath, of North Tonawanda; one
    sister and three brothers, Mrs. Frank
    Foster, Louis Roggow, Albert Roggow
    and August Roggow, all of North
    Tonawanda. She is also survived by
    33 grandchildren and seven great
    grandchildren.

    Mr. and Mrs. Henry Strassburg celebrated their golden wedding at the
    parish house of the Zlon Lutheran church. La Salle. About 100 persons, members
    of the congregation and friends, of the couple-partook of a dinner which
    was the feature of the celebration. The interior of the parish house was attractively
    decorated in white and gold and yellow roses were on the tables.
    Mr. and Mrs. Strassburg were married on January 22, 1880, in Bergholtz. by
    the Rev. Mr. Welnbach, and resided for a short time on the Niagara Falls
    boulevard. For the last 35 years they have lived in the La Salle section. Their
    descendants number six sons, three daughters, 27 grandchildren and one great
    grandchild.
    At the dinner guests were present from this city, Lcckport, the Tonawandas,
    Town Line and Buffalo. The Rev. Mr. Hoyer briefly addressed, the assemblage
    after which a hymn was sung. A large bouquet of daffodils was presented to Mr.
    and Mrs. Strassburg by the Ladles Aid society of the church.
