Clara N. Gandt , a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000) in Mount St. Mary 's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. She was 87. She was born Clara Gworek in North Tonawanda and moved to Niagara Falls with her family as a child. She was a resident of Mount St. Mary 's Long Term Health Care Facility at the time of her death. Her husband, Milford A., died in 1984. Survivors include a son, Charles of Greensboro, N.C.; two daughters, Dorothy Zankowski of Wheatfield and Virginia; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
