Strebe, 66, of 150 Williams St..
president and director ot
Standard Electronics Inc., died
Wednesday (Aug. 25, 1971) in
his home after a short Illness,
A native of this city, he was a
local financial consultant. He
was a graduate of the
of Buffalo and the Harvard
School of Business Administration.
He was also
president, treasurer and a
director of Greene & Kellogg
Inc. and Affiliates, treasurer
and director of Hoelscher's
Inc., treasurer and director of
Moss & Sullivan Inc., chairman
of the board of directors of
Williams & Marcus Co. of
Philadelphia, director of D. &
J. Press Co. Inc., secretary--
treasurer of Bayard Industries
Inc., Buffalo China Inc. and a
consultant to the R. C. Neal Co.
He was a member of the
American Management
Association and the Harvard
Business School Club of Buffalo.
He Is survived by his widow,
the former Ester Schultz; his
mother, Mrs. Caroline Strebe;
two daughters, Miss Ruth
Strebe and Mrs. LaVerne
(Lois) Kolbe, all of thlscity; a
son, the Rev. Edward L. Strebe
Jr., of Las Vegas, N.M.; a
brother, Norman Strebe, of
Washington, D.C.; and five
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
. held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the
Brunner Funeral Home. The
Rev. Enno Schmoock will
officiate.
Burial will be in Elm Lawn
Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and' 7 to 9 p.m. today and
Friday at the funeral home.'

WILLIAM STREBE DIES
Lifelong Tonawanda Resident Passes
in DeGraff Hospital

TONAWANDA. Dec. 24-William
F. Strebe, 57, of 452 Morgan street,
died Thursday night at the De-
Graff Memorial hospital. He was a
lifelong resident of Tonawanda and
was employed as shipping clerk at
the plant of the VanRaalte Silk
Mills on Sweeney street for the past
30 years. He was a member of
the Immanuel Lutheran church and
the Men's club of the church.
Surviving are a wife, Caroline,
two sons; Edward, Los Angeles, and
Norman, Alexandria, Va.; two
grandchildren, two brothers, Emil,
Eldorado, Ont.,, and Albert, Eliza-
beth, N.J., and three sisters, Mrs.
Carl Heppner, Tonawanda, Mrs.
Albert Clark, North Tonawanda,
and Mrs. Alma Finkenbeiner, San-
dusky, Mich.
Services will be held Monday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the resi-
dence. The Rev. f. O. Scholz will of-
ficiate and interment will be in
Elmlawn.

William married Caroline about 1904. Caroline was born on 2 May 1883 in New York; died in Feb 1977 in Washington, DC. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Tonawanda Man
Dies at Age of 85
TONAWANDA — John G.
Scholz, 85; of 150 William St.,
died- -in Buffalo Thursday
(Jan..l, 1959). Born in Wisconsin,
he had~ lived the greater
part of his life in this city
and was self employed as a
farmer in this area, retiring
several years ago. His wife,
Martha Scholz, died in 1951.
Survivors include a daughter,
Mrs. Edward Strebe, this
city; two sons, Eric Scholz,
Largo, Fla., and Leo Scholz,
North Tonawanda; five grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Scholz was a brother of
the late F. Otto Scholz, a former
pastor of Immanuel Lutheran
Church, this city.
The Rev..Frederick Hinners
will conduct' funeral services
at 1:30 p.m. Monday at .the
Brunner Funeral Home. Burial
will be in White chapel
Memorial Park.

Mrs.. Martha Scholz Dies
TONAWANDA, Dec. 21—Mrs.
Martha Scholz, 80. formerly of Pe-
kin. died at Lockport today. She re-
cently made her home with her
daughter, Mrs. Edward Streve, 150
Williams street, this city. Services
will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m.
at the Brunner funeral home, 156
Robinson street. Interment will be
in White Chapel cemetery. She is
also survived by two sons, Erric and
Leo Scholz, North Tonawanda.
