PIGNATORA - John Age 83, of North Tonawanda, April 14, 2010 in Weinberg Campus. John was a U. S. Army veteran and was stationed in Germany. Beloved husband of Beatrice (nee Proefrock) Pignatora; father of Jeffrey Pignatora of North Tonawanda and Karen Burkett of Erie, PA.; grandfather of Brandon, Justin and Brianna; brother of the late Frank, William, Neil, Samuel, and Angelo Pignatora and the late Mary Traks; uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was a former 25 year employee of Bell Aerospace and was a former employee of the Curtis Wright Co. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. He had enjoyed model rocketry and he loved music, he had played both the accordion and the organ. Friends may call at the FRETTHOLD FUNERAL HOME INC., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 A.M. The Rev. Beatrice was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. She enjoyed Friday night bingo and going on bus trips with her husband.

PROEFROCK – Edward A. Proefrock, 88, of Tonawanda (January 13, 1979) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Proefrock was a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, a former employee of Richardson Boat Company, working there 40 years. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Henry, Mrs. William (Pearl) Reif and Mrs. John (Beatrice) Pignatora, aall of North Tonawanda' eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Manth and Mrs. Rene Sylvester, both of North Tonawanda; three brothers, Fred of Warsaw, Arnold of North Tonawanda and Walter Proefrock of California; father of the late Glenwood and Kenneth Proefrock.

The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer will officiate. Interment in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Louise M Proefrock, 73, of 426 Young St., Tonawanda died Feb 5, 1967 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Proefrock was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Edward A Proefrock; three daughters, Mrs. George (Lucille) Henry, Mrs. William (Pearl) Rief and Mrs. John (Beatrice) Pignatora, all of North Tonawanda, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Edward and August Hubner, both of the Town of Wheatfield.

Friends may call at Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, North Tonawanda, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Family will be in attendance from 2-4 and 7-9. Interment in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer will officiate.

Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the residence and at 4 o'clock from the St. Matthew's church on Wheatfield street. Rev. Carl Frankenstein will officiate and burial will be in St. Matthew's cemetery.
