    A very pretty wedding was solemnized
    at nine o'clock Wednesday morning
    at the St. Mary's church when
    Miss Mildred Loretto Perkins, daughter
    of Mrs. Jesse Elmer Perkins of
    Chilton avenue, became the bride of
    Edward P. Argy. son of Michael Argy
    of Eleventh street. The nuptial mass
    was celebrated with the Rev. Father
    Killeen. Daugherty and Ryan officiating.
    John Brett sang the responses
    to the mass and several solos. The
    altar of the church was beautifully decorated
    with pink and white peonies
    and palms.
    The bride, given in marriage by her
    brother, Albert F. Perkins, was lovely in
    a gown of white chiffon and tulle,
    the skirt of which was graduated
    flounces, edged with tulle, short In
    front and extremely long in back. She
    wore a chiffon and tulle hat trimmed
    with clusters of orange blossoms and
    carried an arm-bouquet of white, roses
    and lilies of the valley. Mrs. John
    Maxwell Allen was the matron of
    honor and she wore .an embroidered
    pink chiffon gown with matching hat,
    Her bouquet was of roses and del-
    phlnlum. John Maxwell Allen was
    the best man and the ushers were
    John McGrath and James Dolan. Fol-
    lowing the ceremony a wedding break-
    fast was served to members of the lm-
    mediate families, at the-Red Coach
    inn. Mr. and Mrs. Argy left for a
    trip up the Saguenay. Mrs. Argy wore ,
    en independence blue crepe ensemble
    with hat to match, for traveling. Upon
    their return they will make their
    home In Chilton avenue.
    Among the out-of-town guests were.
    Miss Veronica Clifford of New York
    City and Mrs. H. F. Perkins and Char-
    les Perkins of Malone. N. Y., Mrs
    Martin Clifford, Miss Loretto Clifford,
    Hugh Clifford and Dr. and Mr.,.
    John Clifford of Lockport. Mr. and
    Mr*. Herbert Argy of Buffalo.

    Miss Helen Eileen Tobin, of Rochester,
    N. Y., daughter of the late
    Mr. William P. Tobin, of St. Louis,
    Mo., became the bride of Edward
    P. Argy, of this city, son of the
    late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Argy,
    at a ceremony on Wednesday, April
    28, In the Immaculate Conception
    church, Rochester.
    The bride chose a street-length
    frock of navy blue with white eyelet
    embroidery collar and. cuffs. A
    white mllan hat and navy blue
    veil completed her costume. She
    carried a white prayer book with
    a shower of gardenias.
    Miss Ann Freeman, the maid of
    honor and only attendant, wore an
    afternoon frock of aqua crepe, with
    matching hat, and a corsage of orchids.
    Dr. John McGrath, of this city,
    was the best man and the ushers
    were Mr. John D. Roche and Mr.
    Donald G. MacKay, also of this
    city.
    After a wedding breakfast at the
    Hotel Rochester, Mr. and Mrs. Argy
    left for a trip to New York City.
    Upon their return they will reside
    In this city. ,
    The bride attended Nazareth
    academy and is a graduate of St.
    Joseph's Hospital of Nursjng in
    Elmira. N. Y. Mr. Argy is a gra
    duate of the Niagara Falls high
    school and Niagara university.

    The funeral of Michael J. Argy. held
    at 8:30 a. m. today from the family
    home, 532 Eleventh street, and at 9' a.
    m. from St. Mary's church, was largely
    attended. The church was filled with
    members of the family and friends and
    pupils of the high school department
    of St. Mary's parochial school. The
    solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated
    by the Rev. Cornelius F. Kllleen,
    pastor of St. Mary's, assisted by the
    Rev. Francis Ryan, assistant at St.
    Mary's, and the Rev. David Cahill,
    Buffalo. In the sanctuary were the
    Rev. John Peel, Buffalo, and the Rev.
    George A. O'Neill, pastor of St. Joseph's
    church, this city.
    An unusually large number of beautiful
    floral tributes attested the sympathy
    and respect of many friends. The
    bearers were H. A. Hughes, D. A. McDonald,
    Otis Smith, W. H. Jewell. J. J.
    Sullivan. F. H. Haseley. Charles BOwen
    and William Murphy. The Rev. Fathers
    Killeen. Ryan, Cahill and O'Neill accompanied
    the funeral procession to
    Rlverdale cemetery for the final burial
    rites.

    Michael J. Argy. 63 years old, 532
    Eleventh street general, superintendent
    of the Cliff Paper company and widely
    known resident. died in Mercy Hospital.
    Buffalo, at 10:15 p m yesterday.
    Funeral services will be held from the
    family home Saturday morning at 8:30
    o'clock and at St Mary's church at 9.
    A m Burial will be in Riverdale cem-
    etery.
    Mr. Argy underwent an opeeration In
    the Buffalo hospital several days ago
    following which compications arose
    a n d caused -his death. Although his
    friends here were aware that his condi-
    tion was serious his death was unex-
    pected and caused wide sorrow,
    Mr Argy was a native of Lawrence,
    Mass. When a youth he entered the
    paper-making business conducted by his
    father and remained connected with the
    industry throughout his life He served
    as superintendent of some of the lar-
    gest paper mills of the country before'
    coming to Niagara Falls in 1902 from
    Combined Locks, Wis.
    His reputation as an authority in the
    paper-making industry was nationwide
    He was an inventor of a number of
    modern devices for the manufacture of
    paper and a number of manufacturing
    methods introduced by him are now in
    universal use. He was the president
    of the Northern New York division.
