    Robert F. Rydzewski Jr., 97, of Niagara Falls, NY and formerly of Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 26, 1927 he was the son of the late Robert and Louise (Kozdranski) Rydzewski Sr.


    Robert worked as an Industrial Painter for 27 years at Kimberly Clark and then for 15 years at Harrison Radiator, until his retirement. He was a musician, who could be found playing his accordion at various places around Niagara Falls through the years. Robert was also an umpire and championship winning baseball coach with the Babe Ruth league and was also a member of the St. Joseph Holy Name Society.


    He is survived by his children, Joseph (Susan) Rydzewski, Timothy (fiancée Kathy) Rydzewski, Roberta (Brian) Stalteri and Theresa (Mark) Revitzer; 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Theresa V. (Kulak) Rydzewski; son, Michael Rydzewski USMC; daughter, Claudia Gorzka; brother, Richard (Cecelia) Rydzewski, and sister, Florence (Chester) Kozen.


    Friends may call Monday, May 6 from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 7th at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating.     She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Robert Rydzewski; children, Claudia (James) Gorzka, Joseph (Susan) Rydzewski, Timothy Rydzewski, Roberta (Brian) Stalteri and Theresa (Mark) Revitzer; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and her brother, Stanley Kulak Jr. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Michael(Carol) Rydzewski USMC and sister Cecilia.

    ELLEN J. SCZEPCZENSKI
    Ellen J. (Taylor) Sczepczenski, 80 years old, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at her home after a long illness while under the care of Niagara Hospice. At the time of her death she was surrounded by her loving children. She was born in Niagara Falls on May 19, 1926, the daughter of the late George M. and Winifred B. (Plumsteel) Taylor. Mrs. Sczepczenski attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For many years she ran the office at the former Niagara Radio and TV on Hyde Park Blvd. for her late husband Robert. She later worked as a bookkeeper for 15 years at Niagara Business. Mrs. Sczepczenski was a member of the LaSalle Church of Christ; the Niagara Presbyterian + 50 Club; the St. James Senior Club and the Echota Club. She enjoyed baking for her family and her church and will especially be remembered for her cookie baking. Mrs. Sczepczenski is survived by her sons, James (Deborah) Sczepczenski of Riverside, CA and Mark (Susan) Sczepczenski of Niagara Falls and her daughters, Carol (Michael) Rydzewski of Angola, NY, Christine (Harold) Earley of Noblesville, IN, Marian (David) Homiszczak of Niagara Falls, Diane (Jeffery) O'Callaghan of Sanborn and Susan (late Mark) Haseley, of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sczepczenski who died on July 16, 1996. and her sisters, Beatrice Nelson and Barbara Rokusek. Friends may call on Saturday from 1 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 at LUBUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, where a prayer service will begin at 8:00 pm with Minister Ray Johnston officiating. Friends are invited to attend an interment service on Monday, August 28, at:10:00 am at Holy Trinity Cemetery Chapel, 5401 Roberts Street, Lewiston.     Mrs;' Mary Sczepczenski, 67. of
    300 Hyde Park boulevard, a resident
    of this city for more than 40 yean,
    died yesterday at Memorial hospital.
    A native of Poland, the came to
    Niagara Falls in 1909 and had been
    in ill health for the last year.
    Surviving are two daughters and
    three sons, Mrs. GladyS Kurowski,
    Mrs. Wanda Horrath and Edward
    and Robert Sczepczenski, all of this
    city, and Joseph Sczepszenski, Savannah.
    Tenn. Two sisters and one
