    Bergholtz Church, Civic Leader Dies
    Franklin F. Jagow, 49, of 6635 Hunt St., Bergholtz, died Sunday (Feb. 20, 1966) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital shortly after suffering a heart attack at home.
    He was first vice president of the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church; first commander of the Wheatfield Post of the American Legion; a member of the Bergholtz Fire Co. and a director of the Cooperative Fire 1nsurance Co. of Bergholtz.
    Mr. Jagow was employed by the Carborundum Co. for 30 years as a small wheel molder.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Norma Mielke Jagow; three sons, Wayne Jagow, a student at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis; Daniel Jagow and Robert Jagow, both of Bcrgholtz; his father, Frederick Jagow, Bergholtz; four sisters, Mrs. Hugo (Evelyn) Gade. Baltimore; Mrs. Melvin (Elizabeth) Williams, Wilson; Miss Elfrieda Jagow, this city; and Mrs. Milton (Marilyn) Warblow, North Tonawanda.
    Four brothers surviving are Howard Jagow and Irwin Jagow, both of the Town of Wheatfield; Victor Jagow, of Maryland; and Rev. Frederick Jagow, Warren, Mich. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, until 10 a.m. Wednesday. The body will lie in state at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholtz, from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. Wednesday, when funera1 services will be held. Rev. Albert Bahr, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions to the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Building, Fund will be acceptable as tributes. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m., today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday

    NORTH TONAWANDA — Norma L. (nee Mielke) Stolzenburg, age 90, of North Tonawanda, NY, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Born in the Town of Cambria, NY to the late Elmer and Amanda (Gombert) Mielke, she was the wife of Franklin F. Jagow, who entered into rest in 1966; the wife of David Stolzenburg, who predeceased her in 1997; and was the sister of the late Donald Mielke, Marian Ellman and Phyllis Stoelting. Norma attended LaSalle Jr. and Sr. High Schools. She had been employed as an assembler at Radatron in North Tonawanda for over 20 years. Norma was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Wilson. Her joy was her family and their time together. She enjoyed collecting recipes and was well-known for her delicious pies and homemade baked goods.

    She is survived by three sons, Rev. Wayne F. (Maureen) Jagow of the Town of Lockport, NY, Daniel J. (Maria) Jagow of Coppell, TX, and Robert G. (Laura) Jagow of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren, Rev. Andrew W. (Kathy) Jagow, Erin Jagow, Bethany Moulden, Sean (Jessie) Jagow, Amanda (Kevin) Nevels and Nikole Jagow; seven great-grandchildren, Christian DiRamio, Lily and Claire Jagow, Amira and twins, Cooper and Brady Jagow, and Claire Nevels; three step-grandchildren, Lisa, James (Alissa) and Jason Hodgson; four step-great-grandchildren, Alissa, Alexx and Sidney Boerhinger, and Kennedy Hodgson; a sister-in-law, Norma Lewis of Sanborn, NY; a brother-in-law, Marvin (late Phyllis) Stoelting of Pekin, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

    There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, July 17, at 6 PM in Concordia Lutheran Church, 3121 Beebe Rd., in the Town of Wilson. Rev. Andrew W. Jagow will officiate. Private interment will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Wheatfield. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094; or to Concordia Lutheran Church 3121 Beebe Rd., Wilson, NY 14108. Arrangements by JOHN O.     LOCKPORT — Roland "Joe" E. Camann, age 86, of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home to be with our Lord, on Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on December 6, 1923 to the late Albert and Emma (Baars) Camann. He attended Holy Ghost Lutheran School and Trott Vocational. A United States Army Veteran, he was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where he held numerous positions over the years and sang in the choir. He was employed as a maintenance supervisor at the E.I.DuPont & Co. for many years. Joe was an exempt member and past Chief of the Bergholz Fire Co., past Commander of the Wheatfield American Legion, Post 1451, former member of the Bergholz German Band, Bergholz Cooperative Insurance Co., and past President of the Board of Directors, Firemen's Association of the State of New York, and past President of the Niagara County Fire Chiefs Association. Hobbies and interests included music, traveling, photography, chair caining, keeping family trees and the historical society.

    Survivors include his beloved wife, Bernice "Bonnie" (Milleville) Camann. They were united in marriage June 1, 1946; loving twin daughters, Karen (late Howard) Binkley of North Tonawanda and Maureen (Rev. Wayne) Jagow of Lockport; five grandchildren, Nicole (Allen) Ganz, Rev. Andrew (Kathy) Jagow, Kim Binkley, Bethany (Michael) Moulden and Karrie (Glen) Gebhardt; four great-grandchildren, Jamie and Sarah Ganz, Lily and Claire Jagow; sister-in-law, Doris Camann; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Albert, Rev. Francis, Eugene and Waldemar Camann.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 3-7 PM. A Memorial Service will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach on Thursday at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther St., in Bergholz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Organ Fund.

    WHEATFIELD - Bernice (Bonnie) Camann, age 85, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on November 20, 2010 at the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility in Lockport, following a lengthy illness. She was born November 12, 1925 in the Town of Wheatfield, NY to Theodore and Evelyn (Mahl) Milleville. Bonnie attended St. James Lutheran parochial school in Bergholz, graduated from the former LaSalle Jr.-Sr. High School and was employed in a civil personal position at the former Bell Aircraft during the war. She was united in marriage to Roland E. (Joe) Camann on June 1, 1946. He entered into rest May 2, 2010.

    Bonnie was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz, where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She belonged to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and enjoyed quilting to aid Lutheran World Relief. Bonnie was a charter member of the Bergholz Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed parading and traveling with the Bergholz German Band. Bonnie always put others first and will be remembered for her giving spirit. Her joy was her family and their time together. She was well-known for her delicious pies and homemade baked goods. Hobbies and interests included reading Amish novels and playing games with her grandchildren.

    Survivors include her loving twin daughters, Karen (late Howard) Binkley and Maureen (Rev. Wayne) Jagow; five grandchildren, Nicole (Allen) Ganz, Rev. Andrew (Kathy) Jagow, Kim Binkley, Bethany (Michael) Moulden and Karrie (Glen) Gebhardt; four great-grandchildren, Jamie and Sarah Ganz, Lily and Claire Jagow; sister-in-law, Doris Camann and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Friends are invited to attend a memorial service in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street in Bergholz, on Sunday, November 28 at 3:00 PM. A private interment will take place with the family in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. There will be no prior visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. Arrangements were by the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME.

    Mr. and Mrs. Roland E. Camann of Niagara Falls celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends at Pane's Restaurant, North Tonawanda. Camann and Bonnie A. Milleville were married June 1, 1946, in St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz. He is a retired maintenance supervisor for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., Niagara Falls. The couple has two children and five grandchildren.
