    Hamilton Swlck, of North Main
    street, and Carlton Clark, son of
    Mrs. Grace Clark, of Warren's Corners,
    were united In marriage Saturday
    at the Methodist parsonage.
    Warren's Corners, at 1:30 p. m
    by the Rev. Arthur Grlffing. The
    attendants were Miss Catherine
    Shaw, of Newfane. and Bruce
    Knell, of Warrens Corners.
    Miss Swick is a graduate of Newfane
    high school, a member of the
    Choral union and was a teacher
    of intermediate girls in the Methodist
    church school. She was employed
    at the Lockport Felt company
    plant In this village. Mr. and
    Mrs. Clark will reside at Warrens
    Corners.

    NEWFANE. June 4.—Services
    for Mrs. Ina Swick, wife of Hamilton
    Swick, North Main street, were
    held at the Corwin Funeral Home
    yesterday with; the Rev. James S.
    Wilson officiating.
    Mrs. Swick was born August 30
    1885, at Warren's Corners, a
    daughter of the late William and
    Lucy Richardson: On August 25,
    1909, she married Mr. Swick and
    came to Newfane to live. Two
    children were born to them, Lorraine
    and Lawrence. The latter
    died Jan. 8, 1943.
    Mrs. Swick had been in ill health
    for 16 months. She was a member
    of Cheer Rebekah Lodge 588, the
    Daughters of Union Veterans.
    Miller Hose Auxiliary and the
    -Loyal Seniors group of the Methodist
    Church.
    Beside her husband and daughter.
    Mrs. Carlton Clark, she is survived
    by a grandson; one sister, Mrs.
    Floyd Freatman, North Ridge; one
    brother, George Richardson, of
    Lexington, Ky.
    s Interment was in Corwin cemetery,
    the bearers being Bruce Post,
    Clyde Merritt, Chester Clark, Clifford
    Wilson. Joseph Sterns and
    Howard Scarle.

    Funeral of Mrs. Avis Swick
    at Wilson Methodist church.

    Wilson, April 15.—The funeral of
    Mrs. Avis Swick, 75 years old, widow
    of Augustln W. Swick. who died on
    Monday at the home of her daughter,
    Mrs. Ira W. Swick, at Niagara Falls,
    was held in the Methodist church
    here this afternoon. The Rev. William
    Robinson of Wellsville officiating.
    She was a prominent resident of
    this place for 25 years. She is survived
    by Mrs. Ira W. Swick: two sons,
    Leander E. Carey of Wilson and
    Hamilton Swick of Newfane' four
    grandchildren, four stepdaughters,
    Mrs. Rollin L. Cushing and Mrs. Arch
    C. Scoby of Tonawanda, Mrs. Jason
    brace of Buffalo and Mrs. Burt N.
    lafler of North Ridge; five stepsons,
    Eugene Swick of Lansing, Mich.,
    Homer E. Swick of Buffalo, John L.
    and Ira W. Swick of Niagara Falls
    and Burt Swick of Erie, Pa., and a
    sister, Mrs. Henry Highland of Niag-
    ara Falls.

    Civil War Veteran
    of Newfane Dies
    NEWFANE, April 28. — William
    Richardson, 78 years old and a veteran
    of the civil war, died late yesterday
    afternoon at the home of his
    daughter, Mrs. Hamilton Swick. North
    Main street. Mr. Richardson had
    been ill for some time and had been
    confined to his bed for the past two
    months. The funeral will be held from
    the daughter's home on Friday afternoon
    at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Leland
    Henry, pastor of the Newfane
    Methodist church, will officiate. Bur-
    ial will be in Glenwood cemetery,
    Lockport.
    Mr. Richardson was born in Lock-
    port, but had spent most of his life
    at Warren's Corners. He resided
    there until eight years ago when his
    wife, Lucy Male Richardson, died.
    He then came to make his home with
    his daughter and has lived here ever
    since. Besides Mrs. Swlck he Is survived
    by one other daughter, Mrs.
    Floyd Freltman, of North Rldge, and
    one son, George A., of Thomasvllle,
    Georgia
