Lorraine Tarpinian, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Northgate Health Care Facility in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Nasri and Victoria (Jacob) Gazy.
Lorraine was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On January 16, 1943, she married Victor Tarpinian, who later predeceased her on March 14, 2000. Gloria donated much of her time to the community as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was also a devout Catholic, lifelong member of the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church and a current parishioner of Divine Mercy Church.
Ms. Tarpinian is survived by her children, William (late Loretta) Tarpinian and Gloria Tarpinian; two brothers Albert “Skip” (Ramona) Gazy and Philip Gazy, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret (late Don) Hall, Annie (late Paul) Rossman and three brothers, William (Martha) Gazy, Emil (Doris) Gazy and Michael (late Dorothy) Gazy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21st from 3 - 8 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow on Friday at 10 A.M. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice.Children:
