  1. 1.  SCIME, Ann was born about 1928 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY (daughter of SCIME, Vito and FERRARA, Constance); died on 19 Aug 2022 in Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY.

    Notes:

    Anna Mae Conte, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 19, 2022, surrounded by her family, at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Constance (Ferrara) Scime.
    Anna Mae graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School.  On November 6, 1948, she married Nicholas F. Conte at St. Joseph Church.  Mr. Conte predeceased her on December 8, 2002.  Anna Mae was employed at Nabisco from 1945 to 1950 and later at K-Mart from 1968 until her retirement in 1988.
    Among her many talents in arts and crafts, Danish Needle painting was her favorite.  Her caring and loving disposition will always be remembered, as will her sense of humor that shined with everyone she came in contact with.  Throughout her life, she gave and received so much love.
    Anna Mae is survived by her children, Stephen (Rosemary) Conte, Connie Smith and Michael Conte; her grandchildren, Justin Smith, Carly (Gary) Robson, Nicholas Smith, Stella Conte and Abagail Conte; her great grandchildren, Lucas and Evan Robson, as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins, she shared a special relationship with her niece, Charleen Scime.
    In addition to her husband of 54 years, she was predeceased by her brother, Charles (late Doreen) Scime.
    There will be no prior visitation.  Private inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held at the convenience of her family.  Arrangements by M. J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.

    A Niagara Falls man died yesterday
    afternoon less than 48 hours
    after his daughter died while visit-
    ing him at Memorial hospital. He
    is Biagio Ferrari, 79, of 471 Twenty-
    first street.
    Saturday his daughter, Mrs. Jes-
    sie Tcdesco, was stricken at his bed-
    side and died a few minutes later.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Tedesco
    were held this morning at the Amato
    Funeral home. She was buried in
    St. Joseph's cemetery.
    Mr. Ferrara, a native of Italy,
    came to this country with his family
    46 years ago. He was retired from
    the Carborundum company.
    Surviving are his wife, Liboria
    Ferrara; three daughters, Mrs. Ventura
    Tarrenti, Mrs. Nicholas Vilardo
    and Mrs. Vito Scime, all of Niagara
    Falls; nine grandchildren and six
    great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services for Mr. Ferrara
    also are being handled by the Amato
    Funeral home.
