North Tonawanda Man Dies Suddenly
NORTH TONAWANDA - Otto Zimmerman, 64, of 212 Stenzel St., died suddenly in his home yesterday (Dec. 30, 1956). He is survived by his wife, Elsie Zimmerman; three daughters, Mrs. Jack Harrington. Mrs. Matthew Konizcny and Mrs. Gilbert
Doucet; two sons, Walter and Otto Zimmerman Jr.; a sister. Mrs. Herman Stadler and 11 grandchildren, all of this city. The Rev. Paul H. Fretholtz will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Fretthold Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.

Otto married WREGE, Elsie Elisabeth on 15 Dec 1915 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. Elsie (daughter of WREGE, William Friedrich Carl and PIEPENHAGEN, Maria Louise Emilie) was born on 18 Jul 1895 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY; died on 31 Jul 1979 in Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY. Mr. John Zimmerman, aged 63 years
died this morning at the family residence
in 212 Stenzil street. Besides
his wife, he is survived by one daughter,
Miss Vera Zimmerman, three sons,
William, John and Otto Zimmerman;
one sister, Mrs. August Gardei and
one brother, Mr. Ludwig Zimmerman,
of Lockport. The funeral announcement
will be made later.

John married KARRE, Maria in 1880 in Prussia. Maria (daughter of KARRE, Wilhelm and MORGAN, Fredericka) was born in Jun 1859 in Prussia; died on 11 Jan 1933 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Marie Zimmerman, 73 years old,
died yesterday at the home of her
son, John Zimmerman, Belling Place,
after a long illness. She was born In
Germany and had lived In North
Tonawanda 50 years. She Is survived
by a daughter, Mrs. Herman Stadler;
three sons, John, William and Otto;
twenty grandchildren and two brothers.
Otto and Ernest Karre, all of the
Tonawandas.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock
Friday at the home, and half an hour
later at St. Mark's church.

Word has been received here of
the death in Washington, D. C., of
William Wrege, Sr., 72-year-old
former resident of the Town of
Wheatfield. He is survived by his
wife, Mary; three sons, Herman and
William, Jr., of North Tonawanda,
and Walter, of Dunkirk, and three
daughters, Mrs. Otto Zimmerman
and Mrs. George Sattelberg, of
North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Hubert
holland, of this city. Twenty
grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren also survive. Funeral
services were held in Washington
on Wednesday.

William married PIEPENHAGEN, Maria Louise Emilie on 8 Dec 1892 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. Maria (daughter of PIEPENHAGEN, Friedrich and LEMKE, Caroline Maria) was born on 17 Jul 1871 in Stolzenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany; died on 23 Apr 1940 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. NORTH TONAWANDA, April 24 - Mrs. Mary C. Wrege. 68, died yesterday at her home, 225 Ward road. Born in Germany, she came to America when a young woman and had resided in this locality since. She is survived by three sons, Herman and William, Jr., of North Tonawanda, and Walter, of Dunkirk; three daughters, Mrs. Hubert Holland, of Niagara. Ealls, Mrs, Otto Zimmerman, of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. George Sattelberg, of the Town of Wheatfield; 20 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Herman Wrege, of Ransomville, and a brother, August Piepenhagen, of Wilson. Funeral services will 'be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and at 2:30 from the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran church In Washington street. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will conduct the rites. Burial will be in St. Mark's cemetery.

Mrs. Lena Pipenhagen
Mm. Lena Pipenhagen, seventy-eight years old, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Wrege of the Witmer road, near St. Johnsburg. Mrs Pipenhagen had been an invalid for the last three years. Three daughters, Mrs. Wrege, Mrs. John Hacker of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Herman Wrege of Ransomville and one brother, Gustav Pipenhagen of North Ridge, sixteen grandchildren survive. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at ... and half an hour later at St. Mark’s church on Washington Street, North Tonawanda. Burial will be at St. Johnsburg and Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate.
