    Notes:

    Otto A. Licht, 71, husband of the late Anna Kurth, died yesterday at his home on the Lockport road, Sanborn. He is survived by two sons, Raymond of the Ward road and Arthur of Sanborn; 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, Albert and Frank of Tonawanda and a sister, Mrs. Esther Donaldson of Syracuse. The funeral will he held from the late residence at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be at Shawnee.

    Notes:

    Adolph Licht immigrated to the United States from Prussia in 1881 along with his wife Ernestine and his four sons and daughter (another daughter was born in the U.S.). The family traveled from Breman, Germany on the S.S. Main, arriving in New York City on December 12, 1881. Adolph seems to have worked at various jobs relating to the lumber industry in Tonawanda, including working at H.M. Loud's Sons lumber yard. There is no record of his vocation or trade in Prussia.
    His obituary:
    Adolph Licht, eighty-one years old, died this morning at the home of his son, Herman C. Licht, No. 196 Niagara street, after a brief illness. Mr. Licht was born in Germany. He had been a resident of Tonawanda for the past forty-three years. He was a staunch Democrat. Four sons, Herman, Albert and Frank Licht of Tonawanda and Adolph Licht of Sanborn; a daughter, Esther, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren survive. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Chester W. Willis of the Broad street Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Elmlawn.
