    LOCKPORT — Edward A. Kasprzak, of Shawnee, Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.

    He was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on February 10, 1945, the son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Fauzey) Kasprzak.

    Mr. Kasprzak graduated from North Tonawanda High School. He was the assistant director of Emergency Management for Niagara County for five years and later worked for the Town of Wheatfield Sewer and Water Department for 15 years, before retiring in March of this year.

    Mr. Kasprzak was a life member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company for 41 years, where he served as the company's Fire Chief and President. He was an actively involved member and Past President of the Niagara County Fireman's Association and Fire Chiefs Association, and the Western New York Volunteer Fireman's Association. He was a committee member and Sergeant at Arms with the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs and a member of the Fireman's Association of the State of New York.

    He was a member of Niagara Falls Harley's Owners Group (HOG) and St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Shawnee.

    Mr. Kasprzak enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, gardening, riding his Harley, woodworking and bowling.

    He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 46 years, Linda L. (Rule) Kasprzak; one son, Marc E. (Kelly) Kasprzak; one daughter, Wende M. (David) Schimschack, both of the Town of Wheatfield; two grandchildren, Joshua and Noah Kasprzak, and was anticipating the arrival of his third grandchild; one brother, Michael (Patti) Kasprzak; two sisters, Linda (Paul) Eichler and Susan (Philip) Czechorowski; one sister-in-law, Bobbi Kasprzak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Kasprzak was the brother of the late Robert Kasprzak.

    The family will be present on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. The Shawnee Fire Co. will have a memorial service on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's United Church of Christ - Shawnee, 3921 Mapleton Road, North Tonawanda, NY, with Rev. Ronald Lord officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company or to Niagara Hospice. Inurnment in Wheatfield Cemetery, Town of Wheatfield, NY.

    MIDDLEPORT — Mary "Pam" Belfield of Middleport, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Belfield was born in Medina, NY, on June 15, 1947, daughter of Grace (Tracey) Tylec and the late Stanley Tylec.

    She grew up in Middleport and was a graduate of Royalton-Hartland Central School and the Cobleskill School of Nursery Education. She and her husband, David M. Belfield, were married on October 19, 1968 at St. Stephen's Church in Middleport. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Lockport and was active in her church. She enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband, David M. Belfield; her children, Kelly (Marc) Kasprzak of Wheatfield, Scott (Tanya) Belfield and Katherine Belfield, both of Gasport; her four grandchildren, Joshua Kasprzak, Noah Kasprzak, McKenzie Belfield and McKalynn Belfield; her mother, Grace Tylec of Middleport; two brothers and two sisters, Colleen (Wiliam) Lewandowski of Medina, Kathy (Tom) White of Florida, Vincent (Cindy) Tylec of Middleport and Mark (Gail) Tylec of Florida; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call on Thursday from 3-7 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, NY. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Faith Tabernacle Church, Lockport, NY, with the Rev. Wayne Dent officiating. Born in Minnesota, he lived in this city for the last 45 years and was employed by the R. T. Jones Lumber Co. He was a member of the Wheatfield Social Club. He is survived by his widow the former Dorothy Fauzey; two daughters, Mrs. Matthew(Linda) Pisarski and Miss Susan J.     a bridge operator on the Erie
    Barge Canal, died unexpectedly
    Sunday (Nov. 20, 1968) at Me-
    dina Memorial Hospital.
    He was born Jan. 8, 1907 in
    Brooklyn, the son of Louis and
    Lulu White Belfield. He had liv-
    ed at the present address for
    the past 12 years.
    For the past 10 years, Mr.
    Belfield had been employed as
    a bridge operator by the New
    York State Department of Pub-
    lic Works, Canal Division. He
    was assigned to the Middleport
    lift bridge.
    Before that, he worked for 30
    years at Simonds Saw & Steel
    Co., as foreman on the electric
    furnace.
    He was an exampt fireman of
    the Terry's Corners Fire Co.,
    and a member of the New
    York State Employees Council
    50, AFL-CIO.
    He served in the U. S. Army
    in the Philippines in 1925.
    Mr. Belfield has been mar-
    ried for 39 years to the former
    Gertrude Hogenmiller, who sur-
    vives.
    Also surviving are a daugh-
    ter, Mrs. Raymond Dreher of
    Lockport; five sons, Louis Vel-
    field Jr., of Middleport, Philip
    Belfield of Wilson, Kenneth Bel-
    field of Gasport, Robert Bel-

    married at 11 o'clock this morning to Raymond E. Dreher, son
    of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Dreher Sr., 261 Chestnut St. The bride
    carried a white orchid on a First Communion Prayer Book. Her
    French illusion veil fell from a pearl headdress.
    A single strand of pearls about i

    Officiating at the St. John's rec-

    MAID OF HONOR
    Attending the couple as maid of

    honor was Miss Patricia Murphy
    who was gowned in pink dotted
    swiss with an off-the-shoulder neck
    line. Her hat and gauntlets matched
    her dress and she carried a heartshaped
    colonial bouquet of mixed
    flowers. Lawerance Martin acted as
    best man for Mr. Dreher.
    As gifts to their attendants, the
    bride gave a gold compact to Miss
    Murphy, the bridegroom a gold key
    chain to Mr. Martin.
    The bride's mother wore a sheer
    floral print drees with white accessories
    and a corsage of white roses.
    Mrs. Dreher chose a white Bemberg,
    white accessories and a corsage
    of yellow roses.
    A wedding breakfast was served
    to 21 guests at the Park Hotel
    where the table was centered with
    a bride's. cake. A reception for 250
    followed at the bridegroom's home
    which was decorated with garden
    flowers. Guests attended from Jennette
    and Elwood, Pa., and Buffalo.
    TRIP TO MOUNTAINS
    For a Journey to the Adlrondacks
    the bride selected a two-tone cocoa brown

    and beige suit with white accessories.
    She wore a white orchid
    as a going-away corsage.
    Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs.
    Dreher will be at home at 32 Franklin

    Grace L. Tylec of Middleport passed away Monday February 23, 2015, at the Briody Healthcare Facility in Lockport, NY.

    Mrs. Tylec was born in Medina, NY on March 27, 1923, daughter of the late Timothy and Blanche (McKnight) Tracey. She was a homemaker and has lived in Middleport most of her life.

    She and her husband Stanley J. Tylec were married October 17, 1942. Mrs. Tylec enjoyed her family, tole painting, making rugs and was an expert seamstress and she also enjoyed baking.

    She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish/St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Middleport and was a member of it's Altar and Rosary Society.

    Mrs. Tylec was predeceased by her husband Stanley J. Tylec in 2008, a daughter Mary Pamela Belfield, her sister Mary Hughes and two brothers, James Tracey and Timothy Tracey.

    She is survived by two daughters and two sons Colleen (William) Lewandowski of Medina, Patricia (Thomas) White of Florida, Vincent T. (Cynthia) Tylec of Middleport and Mark (Gail) Tylec of Florida; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; also surviving is a son-in-law, David Belfield of Middleport, sisters-in-law Geri Tracey of Scotia, NY and Virginia Tracey of Lockport and several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call Thursday from 7 PM to 9 PM and Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, NY

    A Vigil Service will be held Friday at the funeral home at 6:30 P. M. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Stephens RC Church Vernon St., Middleport, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls.

    Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
